Can I tell you how long I have L.O.N.G.E.D for some sort of crafty “cutting” tool? I have pondered getting myself one and for some reason just never got around to it. If only I had known about this machine a month ago when I hand-cut all the decorations for a baby shower! I love that it saves you so much time and money by allowing you to use designs from your own computer. I'd want to make paper dolls with infinite outfit possibilities that kids can decorate themselves after they've been cut by the silhouette.
The downloadable designs I like best are the heat transfer fonts. I'd love to put our family's last name on the back of some shirts for my boys, with the two-digit year they were born underneath–athlete-style!

I think I would start off with doing the vinyl to decorate my walls!! And then using the heat transfers for shirts. So many more things after that!
Definitely cutting vinyl…I NEED A NO SOLICITOR'S SIGN! We get 2 or 3 a week, it's so bad…but I'm sure a cute vinyl sign would scare them off the porch right quick!

How can a person begin to list what they would do with the Silhouette? The possibilities are endless…as endless as ones imagination. Glass etching would be amazing, as gifts, or personal items. Every thank you card made would be completely over the top, three dimentional, paper perfection. I would vinyl everything, but most of all I think I would put cutesy labels on my childrens drawers so that maybe they would put their clothes away right.(just wishing there). Thanks to The Idea Room and Silhouette for a chance to have my own, but mostly for inspiration and the chance to dream.

We are military and move frequently and I'm always looking for a way to make our house feel like "home" and love to personalize it any way I can. Like you, i haven't really found THE machine to use and have been doing everything i do by hand. THIS machine…oh, wowie. It can do everything and i mean everything! it's small and the website is fantastic, offering tutorials and downloads and amazing ideas! i am stunned…etch glass, print vinyl, iron-ons for fabric and my favorite, paper crafting. it is everything in one compact machine. i love it and would love even more to have it! amazing! thank you for the opportunity.

I have looked at cutting machines for a long time now. I even bought one, but couldn't get it to work out for me. The Silhouette seems SOOO much simpler, but very robust in getting the job done. Having the option to download anything you want is very intriguing to me. You aren't bound by pre-sets or cartridges!! I would love all the fonts as I love my little girl's name on EVERYTHING!!

Wow! What a FABULOUS product! What's NOT to love! If I had to chose a favorite feature, I would probably say the vinyl cutting. Buying precut sayings can be so expensive!! This would make decorating easy as more affordable. . . something we can all appreciate. :)

I have been drooling over this lovely little machine for months now. My head is spinning with all of the things I could use it for, but I really think it would come in handy at the card making parties I host a few times a year! The girls always grumble at me when they have to cut out intricate shapes for the card designs, so maybe this would stop that! :)

I love that you can use fonts you ALREADY own, no cartridges to buy! I would use my Silhouette for decorating my classroom, from letters for bulletin boards to creating centers for my Kindergartners. I am a first year teacher on a budget and I would be able to create anything I need!

I am a teacher as well as an avid scrapbooker. I am always looking for new ways to make cute things for my students as well as my own scrapbooks. I was looking at the cricut machine, but this Silhouette looks like it does MUCH more! I could see myself using many features including paper crafting, scrapbooking, and I would even experiment with the vinyl and the card making. The possibilities are ENDLESS!

The downloadable designs are SUPER cute! Since I am a teacher, I love all the cute teachery graphics! I'm sure I would use these quite often in my classroom to make nametags, label EVERYTHING, and cutesy up bulletin boards, etc. I also like all the fish and other nautical themed graphics since that is the theme of my classroom this year.
Oh, how I love to craft! This would be a great tool to use on any projects that I wish to do. My favorites are the vinyl decor and heat transfer… but being able to download or make your own on the computer? Who wouldn't want one?! The list is endless!!!
