Just wanted to share with you one of my favorite places to go for some ME time…my hair stylist! Seriously! I can’t tell you how much I look forward to getting my hair cut and *ahem* my gray covered my hair color enhanced! I go every 3 months (since my hair is longer, I can get away with it). But I tell you, by the end of that 3 months I am dying to get in my hair stylists chair…STAT!
Why am I even bothering to share this with you, you ask? Well, since I am a fan of my hair stylist Britny…and she is a fan of The Idea Room we thought it would be fun to offer a little something to the rest of The Idea Room Readers.

Britny does an amazing job! I am not being paid to say this either. I searched for several years to find a hair stylist that actually really tried to listen to what I was saying about the style I wanted. She listens and gives great advice based on your face structure and hair type. She also has taken the time to actually SHOW me HOW to style my hair. I have been getting my hair cut from her for almost 5 years now!
This is the first time I have really been happy with my hair and my hair color. I used to just tolerate getting a haircut that I wasn’t totally happy with, because I didn’t know what else to do. Britny also specializes in hair extensions.

I wish there was a big city-by city database with the best hairstylists and their price ranges. How helpful would that be? Maybe we should do a poll. I had a main guy for YEARS but he went MIA and my hair hasn't been the same since. :/ I've tried a few different people but haven't found another person I feel dedicated to again. When you have a good stylist be sure to hang onto them, facebook friend them, add them to your phone list so if they leave a salon you can KIT with them!

Don't you love finding the right one?! Of course I'm way OUT here, but I do know that it's important to have a stylist you trust and actually listens to you. My stylist has NEVER given me the feeling like he ignored my wishes, and I always feel like he's really trying hard to make me not look like a lunatic.=:)
