As many of you are aware, I just got back last week from THE CREATIVE CONNECTION (founder Jo Packham) where I attended as part of their Social Media Team. We were there to tweet and share all that was happening with the speakers, classes, creating, and socializing.
Here is most of the Social Media Team in the elevator…Can you match their faces with their names? Ha Ha!
The Creative Connection Social Media Team
Kim – Today’s Creative Blog {our fearless leader who took great care of us}
Char – Crap I’ve Made
Cindy–Skip To My Lou
Jen – Tatertots and Jell-O
Kari – UCreate
Kami-No Biggie
Shelley – House of Smith’s
We arrived in Minnesota, which is beautiful with lots of pretty trees, on Wednesday and didn’t have any official work to do yet, so we headed to The Mall of America via the city bus! Whoa…that place
is huge and has every store you could want. We ate and did a little bit of shopping. I scored my daughter’s Minnie Mouse ears at the Disney store for her birthday and Halloween costume. After lots of power walking (did I mention how huge that place is?) and a little bit of shopping we boarded the bus again and headed back to our hotel.
The next day we listened to some amazing and inspiring women with just a “few” of our new friends. The day consisted of great food and inspiring classes. I was busy tweeting little tidbits and quotes from their classes all day.
Then on Friday we traveled away from the hotel and spent a few hours at Cooks of Crocus Hill and took a couple of fun cooking classes and an awesome photography class.
It was so nice to get away and be surrounded by so many amazing and talented women. I learned a lot of things and was able to meet a lot of women and made some great connections with some of them.
There was also a great BlogHer Handmade Market set up in the hotel. So many fun items to purchase right at your fingertips.
Look at all that eye candy! And this just represents a small amount of the goodness that was available for us to poor and drool over. I may or may not have had to sit on my suitcase to get it to zip up for my flight home…true story. I really enjoyed my trip and the conference and meeting and mingling for the weekend with everyone and so grateful for the opportunity I had to attend.
A huge thank you is in order to all of THE CREATIVE CONNECTION sponsors for making this event a huge success!
And so many others!

That looked like such a good time! Would love to attend a DIY conference in the future!
You really should if you can. I know of a great conference in Salt Lake City in April 2012 :) called SNAP! Would love to meet some of my readers there!!
This really sounds like so much fun!!! SO… How do you go about being a part of a social media team? That sounds like a blast!!!
I was just contacted…but I am sure you could volunteer and send a note or email to someone…the worst that could happen is that they say no. Don’t know if I ever want to tweet again, but it was a lot of fun :)
