So…if you haven’t noticed…things around her have been a little slow…slow as in projects being shared. But, I do have a little Spring craft that I was able to whip up and wanted to share…a simple bird nest on a pedestal. Spring time is always busy around here. The kids started up with soccer and baseball again…and you KNOW how that goes! Driving here and there and dividing and conquering the troops and the schedule.
We also spent last week on a vacation for Spring Break with some extended family. We had some fun in the sun! And now I am back trying to dig out from under piles of laundry and all the mess that comes with unpacking and getting caught back up with life.
And…I am scrambling to finalize the last bits and pieces of the SNAP! Conference that is next weekend! Ahhh! I am so excited and hope that I will be able to meet some of you there! I would love for you to come up and say hi! It would really make my day!
Anyways…I digress!
I simply took an old candlestick from the thrift store and a square plate (platter?) that I also thrifted.
Glued them together with some E600 glue. Then painted with a very soft robin’s blue paint and distressed the edges with some sandpaper.
I actually wanted to make this last year…but never got around to it. I purchased the bird nest and eggs from TARGET last year. I am not sure if they have been selling them again this year. They were in the home décor aisle.
And since I bet someone is going to ask about the print I have in the frame…that free printable was created by Tami from The Family: A Proclamation to the World!
I hope all of you had a great Easter! I think I may be coming off of a mini Cadbury egg overdose…and it ain’t pretty! Good thing those are only around once a year!

I am a fan of your site and I was excited to see my print in the background. It makes me so happy to see stuff I made being used. :) Thanks for sharing!
