The Lowe’s Creative Bloggers were challenged to use Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2014 in a project. The Pantone Color of the Year is Radiant Orchid. Now…I LOVED the color, but for the life of me couldn’t find a way to incorporate it into my current home décor color scheme. I thought of several things I could make…just to make…but I really don’t like to make something that I am not going to really use…or have to repaint.
So, I decided to add the color in my daughter’s room with some fun accent pieces. I simply painted some mason jar lid rings with Radiant Orchid paint (which you can pick up at Lowes). Then I filled the jars with some colored pencils and school supplies that she can use when she is creating at her desk or working on her homework.
I also made a little wooden bead necklace and then painted it with the bright and fun paint. I really LOVE this and love that it made my daughter so happy. She can use it as a fun colorful pop of color for her room when she is not wearing it too.
I love that the color is so bright and fun. It makes me feel like #SpringIsCalling. What about you? How do you feel about the Pantone Color of the Year—Radiant Orchid? Do you love it? What would you use this paint color on?

I love it! Love that color, but true, hard to work into home decor;) That necklace is adorable.

i love the color, but I don’t know where I would use it my home. It doesn’t really go with anything. Love what you did with it in your daughter’s room.
