Another month, another Lowe’s Challenge. This month our challenge was Holiday themed. So I came up with a way to use the white reindeer ornaments. The moment I saw these, I KNEW I had to take a couple of them home with me. Lots of ideas were mulling around in my head and I will probably end up making a couple of them…but for today I decided to turn them into a lovely Christmas Table Setting.
They came with a small metal hook and some twine to hang on your tree, where they would look lovely. But I wanted to use them in a different way. I cut the hook off with some wire cutters and removed the twine. I also found these oval wood plaques at Lowe’s in the railing and stairs section. They were the perfect size and shape for “mounting” these Reindeer on.
So I spray painted the wood plaques white. I think they would also look great in silver or gold…or really any color that fits with your Christmas Table Setting. Can you believe I was spray painting outside in barefeet in the middle of December? This is Utah…and we are normally snow-covered and tundra-like this time of year. I was not complaining!
If you don’t like the idea of “mounting” the reindeer head, simply place it on your plate or napkin as a nice touch to your Holiday table. I also printed out some name tags for each person at the dinner table. I couldn’t decide where I like the name tag the best…so experiment with what you like! If you would like to create some of the name tags for yourself, simply download this blank template and then place your own text in the boxes and then print.

For the small wreath, I simply cut two twigs off of a fake pine garland and then twisted the wire in them together to make them into a circle. So easy right? I love how simple these are and they look so fun and festive on my Christmas Table. Do you think I will be able to leave this up until Christmas Day?!
What do you think? Do you like the head mounted on the wood plaque or by itself on the plate or napkin?

I love the reindeer mounted on the oval. The shape of the oval gives such a vintage “finished” look! On another note, your white dishes and chargers are divine! May I ask where they are from?
Thanks Tracy! The white dishes and the silver charger are all from Target.
