This Buttermilk Syrup Recipe is one of the best. Perfect addition to any pancake or waffle recipe! It is our tried and true recipe and we make it at least once a month!
Buttermilk Syrup
1 1/2 cups white sugar
3/4 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup butter
2 tablespoons corn syrup
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Directions:
In a saucepan, stir together the sugar, buttermilk, butter, corn syrup, and baking soda. Bring to a boil, and cook for 7 minutes. Remove from the heat, and stir in the vanilla.
Makes 2 cups. Store in air-tight container in the refrigerator.

Actually, have a question.
I realize this is kept in the fridge, but due to the
fact that it’s made with Buttermilk, does it have a
short shelf life?
