Last week I shared with you my Printable Pantry Labels. Thank you for all your kind comments and suggestions for additional labels. I will be sharing a Pantry Label Part 2 here soon. I also mentioned some Gluten Free Pantry Labels that I would be sharing and I am happy to be able to share those with you today! Being Gluten free myself, I have a need for both of the labels in my home, and I know many of you need them as well.
I have a separate cabinet dedicated to the foods I need to eat, due to my food allergies, and I wanted to be able to label my jars so that I could keep them organized and separate. I don’t use a ton of different Gluten Free flours because I am the only one in my family who needs them, and I have been trying to eat more Paleo and whole foods…but there are times when I do want to make something that I can eat and I need to use a Gluten Free Flour.
I know many of you need to be really strict about your Gluten Free diets due to Celiac’s and other food sensitivities, so I tried to come up with a list of the most common Gluten Free items that most of you will have in your pantries. So I will be sharing the first set of labels and then adding another set with some feedback from you guys as to some items we can add to the next set. How does that sound?
What I ask in return is that you share these with your friends and family. Please do NOT give them the files, but rather direct them here to my site and this post so that they can get them for this post. I am able to justify giving these out free with the traffic that I get ;).
I tested a few different materials to print these labels on to see which material I liked the best. I used some Avery Clear Sticker paper that came in sheets first. They worked fine…but…were not clear. They have a frost to them which bothered me on the glass jars. They were okay on the plastic containers if you had a white substance in them because they were not as obvious.
The best material I have found is the Clear Printable Sticker Material from Silhouette. It sticks well and my printer printed on the surface very nicely. Be sure to let them dry fully before touching them so that they do not smear. All printers are not created equally. So if you are having trouble with the labels smearing, I have found that you can place a piece of clear packing tape (the thick (wide) kind) and that can protect them from smearing and from water damage.
*YOU WILL NEED TO PRINT WITH A LASER PRINTER OR LASER COPIER FOR BEST RESULTS!

Thank you so much for that sweet comment! I really appreciate that! Glad you love them! Thanks for the pin too!
I couldn’t find them earlier but they are there now.
Yeah…I forgot to update the latest draft :) They were sitting in the new draft mode. Thanks for your patience!
Thanks so much for these!
Glad you are able to use them!
thank you, thank you, thank you!
You are so welcome!
Awesome! We all know how expensive gluten free ingredients can be, and keeping them sealed in airtight containers is crucial for a long shelf life!
My husband is not GF, so we still have ‘unsafe’ items in the house for him. So I keep dedicated cabinets strictly for GF items – both so that there is little chance of cross-contamination, but also for the rare occasion that someone else in the house cooks for me, they can safely use anything in these cabinets without having to face their fear of deciphering labels! ;) I also currently mark items that contain gluten with a big ‘X’ in red marker across the label, when they come into the house.
I’m sharing your labels on the Alabama Gluten Free & Celiac Community Facebook page. I know that others will be excited to have these labels as well!
Thank you for your generosity in sharing your ideas for FREE – it’s greatly appreciated!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE These! I don’t have a Silhoutte machine… but seriously debating adding it to my NEED list!! These are great!
Amy,
I am in need of GF pantry labels but do not have access to a printer. I too have 5 kids:) Would you be able to print these and mail to me? If so, how much would you charge? I very much like the style that you have done on these.
