Last month I shared with you a Mother’s Day Card and sign I made with the new Minc Foil Applicator from Heidi Swapp! I am loving it. Everything should be covered in shiny foil…am I right?! My baby is going to be turning 8 and I can’t even imagine how this is possible. I thought it would be fun to experiment with the Minc foil applicator to see if I could create some party drink labels.
I love how they turned out. I wanted to do a label that was clear so that only the lettering was gold. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the gold foil attached to clear sticker paper.
I simply created some “labels” in my photoshop program. I decide to use a Monogram initial for half of the bottles and the number of the birthday she is celebrating and then printed it out on my laser printer. You have to use a laser printer for the Foil Applicator to attach the foil to the ink in the heating process. If you don’t have a laser printer you can print your label at the copy center on a laser printer and then use it in the machine.
I printed the “labels” right onto the clear sticker paper instead of on regular paper. Then I ran it through the Minc machine. If you would like to see how the machine works, check out the video on the first Minc post I shared with you.
The really fun part is that you can totally customize your party drinks with labels that match the color scheme and theme of your birthday parties or parties! So many fun possibilities. I don’t know about you, but I have a lot of fun ideas floating around in my head! Makes me want to #foilallthethings!
Fill your party drinks with a great party drink…for 8 year olds…ice cold milk, and serve it with some donuts with colorful sprinkles on top!
How would your personalize your party drink labels?

Thanks so much Amy! The foil is so awesome!
Does the heat from the Minc not affect the glue on the stickers?
I would do the print and cut option for the cricut. If you have to print elsewhere for a laser printer, I would print out the design on an inkjet printer (with the cricut marks) then take that copy into a print center. Print them on the clear sticker paper and then let the cricket cut it out for you! That will remove your clear corners.
It look so cute!!!!. I have tried deferents clear sticker paper without any success. What paper did you use?
