Here I am with another Jar obsession! I had to make some Christmas Candy Cane Striped Jars making a Halloween version. These jars can be used in so many different ways and are fun and festive for the Holiday Season!
Fill the jar with some Holiday Treats, or use as creative way to package up your Christmas Gift. These Candy Cane Jars also make a great Christmas Decoration. I shared some Fall Leaves Jars earlier this year, which could be done with these striped jars.
Place a tea light in the jar and create an eye-catching centerpiece for your Christmas Dinner or to stand on your Christmas Mantle.
The jars are easy to make. Simply spray paint a canning jar white (or paint it with a paint brush). When the paint has dried, add painters tape to the jar to make stripes.
To ensure that the stripes are even, I used a little piece of tape between each stripe to measure and make sure the tape is even all around the jar.
Paint where there is no tape your red paint. Before the paint dries carefully pull off the tape. I have found if you let it dry, the paint tends to pull up and you get uneven edges! Lightly sand the jar if you would like to have a more weathered look to your jar. Use a very fine grit sand paper.
