The month of love is here and if your house is like ours, the natives (our kids) are getting restless for sunshine and warmth. Let’s be honest, I am getting a little restless myself. Heather here from FamilyVolley.com and its time for some fun with this family activity. It has been a while since we have done a new game/activity with our families. Today I have one for you that is so much fun! It is also a powerful strengthening and building activity.
Materials needed:
Washable Markers
String
Poster board or LARGE piece of paper.
Preparation:
Tie a piece of string on the marker, for EACH person in your family. (So if you have 5 people in your family that are going to participate, you will need 5 pieces of string.) You will want to tie the string on really well, and leave a 3 FOOT tail hanging off the marker.
How to Play
- Each family member takes a hold of one of the strings.
- You are only allowed to hold onto the last foot of the string. Which means, you can’t sneak your hand up close to the marker.
- Take the cap off the pen.
- Choose a word for your family to write. Everyone has to work together, pushing and pulling their strings to write each letter.
Have fun!
