FREE PRINTABLES
I love to share, so I created some labels that you can print for your own personal use.
For these Body Wash Labels, you can use these Embossed Silver Foil Labels from Avery. It is so easy to fill in the template and then print them out onto the labels…and I like how fancy they make the Bath Salts look…like you paid a lot of money for them from a high end spa!
Or make your own labels, or download these labels on your own paper. I don’t normally use the Avery labels. I usually just print out my handmade labels on some regular computer paper and then glue them onto the jar using a simple Elmer’s glue stick. It find it works so well and the label lays down nice and flat just like a sticker, but is so inexpensive.

Ivory doesn’t float because it is pure. It used to sink like any other soap. Then a worker forgot about a batch in a mixing tub and a huge amount of air was mixed in. Proctor and Gamble packaged the soap and sent it out and was surprised when they started getting requests for “that soap that floats.”

Great info. Thanks for sharing!
No, that was just a cover story they tried to get by with for many years. It had air deliberately whipped into it to copy another floating soap that’d become popular.
And the formula has changed over time. During World War 2 they had to reduce the amount of coconut soap in it, from availability. After the war they kept it that way for several years, then restored the coconut content, advertising it as a boost in suds, when all they were doing was going back to how it’d been.
Robert- Interesting. I didn’t know about this either. Thanks for sharing.
What a great post!
I have been following your site for a couple of years and look forward to reading your posts every day.
Would it be possible if you could do a tutorial for face masks or hair masks with natural ingredients? Thank you.

Hi! I live in China. Can’t get “Ivory” do you know will anythign else work???
Jessica-any bar of soap should work well. Thanks.
I am a new subscriber and I am thoroughly enjoying your web site! Several years ago, in a local spa, I discovered they used scented salt scrub with a little wooden spoon, instead of soap for hand washing. I loved the idea and the hw soft my hands felt after using it. I have been using purchased salt scrub for hand washing in my home bathroom since then. I would like to make some and wonder if you might have a recipe or two to post? My favorite scent is lemon (or any citrus). Thanks!!
Mary- Mine too. Thanks so much!
This would be so perfect for a Mother’s Day gift!
