Arm and Hammer Toothpaste Challenge

As you may know, I have been taking the challenge to try out some of Arm and Hammer’s products. This month I am going to be trying out the Arm & Hammer Advance White Toothpaste with Stain Defense.

I am kind of obsessed with white teeth. I really like white teeth…nothing quite like Willie Wonka’s (Johnny Depp) teeth…but nice, natural white teeth. I have used teeth whiteners in the past but worry about the harsh chemicals. And if I use it for more than a couple of days, my teeth start to feel sensitive to hot and cold items, which I do not enjoy.

So, for the next few weeks I will be brushing my teeth solely with Arm & Hammer Advance White Toothpaste with Stain Defense. Which claims to provide the following:

Extreme Whitening
Stain Prevention
Deep Cleaning
Breath Freshening
Fluoride Cavity Protection
Tartar Control

I am also hoping that it works great for keeping your breath fresh…because who doesn’t love fresh breath? Oh yeah…flouride cavity protection would be another awesome bonus…cause who really likes to get their teeth drilled at the Dentist?

I can’t believe I am actually posting a picture of my teeth on the internet…haha! Apparently I have no shame.  But…I am really curious to see a before and after picture to see if I can really tell a difference in my teeth.

I will for sure let you know when it is time to share the after pictures.

The maker of ARM & HAMMER® products challenged me to switch to ARM & HAMMER Advance White Toothpaste with Stain Defense and this summer, they are giving away $12,000 in the ARM & HAMMER Switch & Save Challenge Sweepstakes. Hamilton Beach Pots & Pans and Blender–Sears Outlet Review

cooking pots box

For January, the Sears Outlet Moms were given the opportunity to go to our Sears Outlet Stores and pick out an item(s) to review that were on our Christmas wish list that we did not get.  Ummm…Yes, Please!  My husband and I have been married for almost 16 long and glorious years!

We were given our current pot and pan set as wedding gifts and they were literally falling apart.  The Teflon coating on a couple had begun to peel off {again} on a couple of pans we had already replaced.

I LOVED the price tag on this set…the regular price was $149.99 and the Sears Outlet Price was $74.99!  What an awesome deal!   There are some pots and pan sets that you can get that are less expensive, but these are very high quality and are sure to last and wear well.

I was also really happy with how solid and sturdy they felt when I first opened the box.  They have really great handles that you can grab with your bare hands without feeling any heat.  And I LOVED that all my pans have lids that FIT!

I have used them EVERY.SINGLE.DAY for a few weeks now and I have been so happy with them.  I actually WANT to make dinner now…okay…MOST of the time :)!

And because we were given the instructions to test out $150 dollars worth of Sears Outlet Products…we were able to review another item.  There were several items we were debating about getting…

A Wireless mouse and Webcam and a $10 artificial Christmas tree…Seriously??  Ten bucks people!  I almost snagged that beauty up…but the hubs put his foot down!

Then I saw this fun Mini Cupcake Maker…I am kicking myself that I did not pick this one up.  I am hoping it will still be there when I am at my Sears Outlet next time.  Think of all the fun we could have!  And then there was this great Room Organizer Set…I could use several of these.

But after much deliberation…we decided upon this Waring 60th Anniversary Blender.  Now this baby is awesome!  Our current blender is a piece of junk…really.  It barely works and will not crush ice, which is a deal breaker in our house.  We like our smoothies around here.

One of the best features of this blender is the metal parts.  No more plastic and rubber parts that need to be taken apart with each use.

This is one solid machine and I was really happy with how it performed.

But perhaps my favorite part of this blender is how pretty she is.  I am being totally serious.  We whipped up some Brazilian Lemonade in it the other night which entailed chopping up 4 entire limes in the blender.  It worked like a charm.  Those limes didn’t even stand a chance.

I am enjoying her so much, I almost feel like I should name her and make her an “official” member of our family.  Did I mention how pretty she is?

If you haven’t had a chance to check out your nearest Sears Outlet…what are you waiting for?  They have GREAT prices and GREAT service.  Don’t have a Sears Outlet near you?  No problem…They have an online site and will ship the product right to your door.

Sears Outlet also has a great new program called Shop Your Way Rewards that was just launched last month.   You earn 10 points for every dollar that you spend and then you can turn around and use those points towards other items you need and want.  Thanks Sears Outlet!

**Disclaimer—I was not given any monetary compensation from Sears Outlet to write this review.  I was however given the above two products to keep and review.  I was not obliged to give a positive review.  Any and all opinions are mine and mine alone.

Blickenstaff’s and a Giveaway

**This giveaway is now CLOSED**

Are you in the Utah County area (Utah)?  Have you heard of the awesome vintage Toy and Candy store Blickenstaff’s

My family and I were recently invited to come and visit Blickenstaff’s and take a look at all the fun things they have to offer.  My kids loved the candy wall…Who wouldn’t?

They had a lot of the vintage candy that I remembered from my childhood…like Razzles gum, zotz and Abba Zabba’s, giant sweet tarts, and marathon bars…remember those?  My mom used let my siblings and I walk 2 miles down to the Drug Store which had a nickel, dime and penny candy section where we would spend a dollar and get a bag full of goodies.  We would also get a 10 cent cherry coke from the fountain with a cherry in it.  Then walk all the way back home.  Seeing Blickenstaff’s candy section made me think about that.

They had all sorts of great toys, games and gift ideas.  There were a lot of the harder to find items too.  Fun and unique items that you don’t normally see in your Target, Wal-Mart, etc.

They had these fun Plasma Cars, bikes and some scooters that you could ride throughout the store.  My kids LOVED that!

Blickenstaff’s also has a fun game section that had a lot of the popular award winning games.  There were several games that I saw that I would have loved to add to our growing game collection.

So if you are in the Utah County area, make sure you go and check out Blickenstaff’s.  We spent a good hour in there and the kids had a blast.  They also have a fun little treasure hunt you can go on in the store, that my kids had fun doing.  I love that the store lets you get hands on with everything. So if you are in the area, be sure to check them out!

But, that is not all!  Blickenstaff’s wanted to show their appreciation to The Idea Room and so they are offering a fun little giveaway for this basket of lovelies!!  Even if you are not in the Utah area, you can still enter to win.  They will ship it anywhere in the US to the winner (minus the basket due to shipping costs).

The basket is full of some fun Vintage candy.  Here is a complete list of items.
