Well, hello Idea Room readers! My name is Tauni. I have a fun little blog and I host an annual Social Media Conference for craft and DIY bloggers called Snap. It’s so fun to be visiting with you.
This time of year we attend a lot of gatherings with friends and family. While it’s typically a more casual affair, I hate to arrive without more than a bag of chips. Succulents are sooo popular right now and they make the perfect gift when styled. Today I am going to show you how to create this sweet Fourth of July hostess gift in under 10 minutes. So easy, right?!
There really isn’t much to this simple little gift – a baby food jar, a small succulent, a bit of ribbon and a printable tag. Most of these items I had on hand so my only cost was the $3.50 I spent on the plant at Home Depot.
Pulling this little gift together is easy as pie. Simply remove the plant from the plastic container. Loosen the dirt up, allowing the extra dirt to fall into your baby food jar. Add your plant to the jar and backfill with a bit more dirt.
Time to pretty this little plant up with a festive ribbon.
After adding the ribbon to the baby food jar, I added a small Fourth of July printable thank you tag on a stick.
Bam! You’re all done.
What’s great is that this is such a simple activity, you could involve your kids too!
I foiled the printable tag to make it a little extra special. It’s a little hard to see in some of the photos, but you can get a glimpse of the foily goodness here…
You can grab the full tutorial for this particular tag on my site today!
I have been sticking these little tags on ALL THE THINGS and I am all set with goodie boxes for our guests and a gift for our Fourth of July host. Looking to put together a few gifts of your own? Hop on over and pick up the printable.
Thank you for having me Amy! It’s been so fun sharing this quick post.
