I really can not believe that the Fourth of July is right around the corner! This summer is flying by! I love eating fun and festive foods on the holidays. And when I saw these Red, White and Blue Pancakes over at I am Mommy…I knew I would be making them for my family. I made these up before the 4th to test them out and so that I could share them here with you…and we will be making them again on the morning of the 4th. My family and I really enjoyed them.
The red pancakes are red velvet pancakes! Yum! I have never had them and I really liked them! And if you don’t like red velvet like my friend Char…then you can just make your favorite buttermilk pancakes, or regular pancakes and add red food coloring. I served them up with some dried blueberries (since we didn’t have any fresh ones on hand) and some blueberry syrup! Yum!
To get the recipe for the red velvet pancakes be sure to head on over to I am Mommy! Send her some comment love for her fun and festive pancakes!

Red velvet pancakes. What will they think of next? :-)
I know right? I would have never thought to make those myself!
I am currently 31 weeks along with twins and on modified bed rest. This will be so much fun for my Hubby and I to make together on the morning of the 4th of July! At least now we can have something festive! Thanks for the great idea! I can’t wait to try the red velvet pancakes!
Yeah! Good luck with the new babies!
love it. I also loved the rainbow pancakes. my mom was always so good about doing fun stuff with meals… especially on holidays. I need to start being more creative I think :)
My mom was too! Trying to recreate my own childhood a bit too. The rainbow pancakes are pure happiness :)
