Summer is just flying by! I can not believe that the 4th of July is right around the corner! It really snuck up on me this year. Anyone else feel the same way? We are going to be spending our 4th of July Holiday with family again this year. But when I think of the 4th of July, I think of summer and nothing represents summer to me quite like ‘S’mores. ‘S’mores mean summer time and late nights sitting around the campfire. We love S’mores! And since I have been on a “food on a stick” kick lately (graduation pops, snowman pops, reindeer pops, Lollipop Cookies, and Easter pops)…I thought it would be fun to put our beloved S’mores on a stick!
I simply took the basic ingredients needed for making S’mores:
Chocolate bars
Marshmallows
and Graham Crackers
and the stacked them on top of one another and melted them in the microwave for about 10 seconds (microwave timing will vary according to your microwaves—watch closely). Have you seen the new flat marshmallows?? I LOVE them. No more Marshmallows rolling off your graham crackers! They were perfect for making a nice flat S’mores! I found them at Target.
After they have been melted, you will need to simply slide a stick into the middle of them and place them in the freezer for about 30 minutes. This will make them so easy to dip in your chocolate. When they have hardened simply dip them into your favorite melted chocolate and place them onto some waxed paper to dry. I dipped some of mine into some red, white and blue sprinkles to add some extra fun to them.
They turned out to be so yummy. They tasted kind of like a moon pie…but so much better! My kids loved them and wanted me to make some for their friends.
These would be a fun and festive treat to take to your family and friend’s 4th of July BBQ! Or give to a friend to brighten up their day!
What do you think? Would you like your S’mores on a stick? How do you like to make your S’mores?
Another way we like to make S’mores is with Melted Peanut Butter Cups…HEAVEN!!

that looks yummy. did you get my comment from your giveaway winner post?

I got it and sent you an email back! Congratulations Lauren!!
What a great idea! S’mores are normally so messy, so these look awesome. Do you think they would be fine with just the marshmallows between the crackers, since they are coated in chocolate, or is the coating not quite enough chocolate?
(Btw, I think they are “S’mores” with the apostrophe after the S. It’s like an abbreviation of “some more”. I’d like some more!)
Ha! I think you are right on the spelling! Thanks! I will fix it! And yes, they could be made just fine without chocolate in the middle. But I am a bit of a chocolate lover :)! Just be sure when you dip them to make sure the stick is covered well with chocolate so that it stays in place.
Love this idea! I was wondering about skipping the chocolate in the middle, too. I love how you could decorate them with different colored sprinkles for different occasions. Thanks for sharing.
Yep! I think it would be just fine!
I am in LOVE with this idea – now you have me craving smores. I’m going to have to make these for this weekend, for sure. Thanks for the idea. :)
Yay! Sorry about the cravings ;)! Glad you like it. Thanks for the sweet comment! I love hearing what projects my readers are enjoying.
Um, YUM!!! Can’t wait to try these!

Those look awesome, my kids will love them. We just did some s’more’s last weekend with those marshmallows, they are the best. What kind of chocolate are you using for dipping?
We need to get the girls together again!! Have a great 4th!
LOVE this idea! I’m a smores freak so this is totally up my alley. Thanks for sharing!
These look amazing!! I’m going and buying everything TODAY!!
Did you get a chance to make them yet Heather?? :)
I haven’t seen these marshmallows yet! What a great idea! It has me wondering why it took someone so long to think of it! Anyway, I’m off to Target!
Love me some Target! Hope you can find them.
I too am a huge fan or S’mores and can’t wait to try these! I’m also wondering what kind of chocolate you dipped in and about how much it took.
I just used some chocolate that I had left over from a block of chocolate. I can’t remember the name brand as the original wrapper is gone. Got it at my loccal grocery store. Chocolate Candi Quik works well too, but that is less chocolatey!
Yum. I think we’re going to have to try them, with peanut butter cups in the middle. Oooh I can’t wait.
xoxo,
Amy
You need to be very careful. You might start something you will regret later…just sayin’ ;)
These are awesome! I’m totally making them for our 4th of July BBQ! Thanks for the great idea.

Those look AWESOME!
We LOVE these new stacker marshmallows – what a great idea to coat them in chocolate. You are just so clever ;)
Ha! Anything dipped in chocolate on a stick should be a daily requirement! Thanks for stopping by. Hope your doing well Becky!
So cute!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it!
yum! these look delish and so cute for the fourth! thumb up :)
Thanks Jamielyn! Hope you have a great holiday. Give that sweet baby and big hug!
A s’more is not a s’more without some peanut butter smeared on the crackers as well :) If you have the chocolate inside anyway, you could dip them in white coating chocolate, and they would look very festive!
Oh…! Peanut Butter ON the crackers! I am liking the way your mind works! I am totally going to do that with the leftovers ;)
:) I never knew people made s’mores without peanut butter till i was pretty old…we always did marshmallows, PB, and chocolate…guess it goes to show how each family does things differently:) It was a new one to my hubby when we were married, but now it’s a must have s’more ingrediant for him as well. You will never make them without again:)
What a great idea……. I can’t wait to try it! Thanks for sharing~
MaryAnn
Thanks MaryAnn! I really appreciate you following along.
Yummers…and I think I may just cry about how fast summer is going by…
I know! It seems to be flying by at our house as well.
NO WAY! Flat marshmellows?! That’s crazy! You know I’m trying this!
I know right? genius really!
this is the greatest thing i’ve ever seen! gotta make some for… well.. ME!
Ha! Good plan!
We are doing indoor camping (because AZ is way to hot) at the end of the month and I’ve been looking for a twist on smores to make…these are perfect! Thanks for sharing!
Well done! I’m definitely going to have to give those new flat marshmallows a try! I’m a nut for all things on a stick as well!
Have you ever worked with chocolate transfer sheets? Of all the delicious things you can put on a stick, chocolate transfer sheets lend themselves best to S’mores on a stick because of the perfectly flat and wide surface area. I have a tute over on my blog on the recipe page under the “Chocolatiering and Stuff on a Stick” header.
Happy 4th!!
Jenn
Thank you for the idea! We made your Peeps on a stick and loved them! Can’t wait to try these. A quick question…did you eat these on the same day you made them? I’m wondering if I can make them a day ahead or if the graham cracker would get “less than crispy” if I did them ahead?
brilliant Amy!! i have to admit I’d probably double-up the mallow :) But what a great way to use those new marshmallows! AND you could totally change the sprinkles to go with different holidays of parties :)
I haven’t seen the flat marshmallows yet. I think I’m going to Target tomorrow, so I’ll have to look for them.
Great idea, so easy and so festive. I just might need to try it!!!
Love this idea!!!! I will be making these this fourth and for party favors for my kids birthday parties!!!
I bought all the “stuff” to make these yesterday! Can’t wait to see how they turn out and taste how yummy they are! Thanks for the cute idea!!
These would be so much fun to make with or for my “Grands!” I was wondering if the marshmallows get rubbery after freezing them?
These look so yummy!!!! I am going to make them for a cookout this weekend!!! Where did you get the festive 4th of July themed sprinkles? Love those, but can’t find them anywhere! Thanks for sharing this yummy treat!!!
Aren’t you clever??? Love it! Never heard of those flat marshmellows…
Made these for a friend BBQ tonight. EVERYONE loved them! Thanks for the great idea. They are so yum.
Love these, and adding a link to your recipe today on my Fourth of July S’mores wrap-up.
