*Update 12.6.13–Here is the link to the Recipes, Tutorials and Free Printables : Gifts of Christmas
Too many sugar scrub recipes lately? I couldn’t resist making a sugar scrub AND some bath salts this Christmas season using my Frankincense and Myrrh DoTerra Essential Oils. I actually wanted to make them last Christmas…but was right in the middle of figuring out my food allergy issues…so it just didn’t happen.
I can’t believe another year has come and gone!! Doesn’t it seem like time is speeding up as we get older? Anyways…I am excited to share these new recipes with you! I am so happy with how this whole gift idea just came together!
And…they BOTH smell so good! They have a great spicy, warm…Christmas-y scent! I did a little research on each of the oils traditional and ancient uses and tried to come up with the best use for each. So…I went with a Frankincense Sugar Scrub due to the amazing skin benefits Frankincense provides. It is actually a common ingredient in some skin care products.
And for the Myrrh, I decided to make some Myrrh Bath Salts. Myrrh was anciently used in the embalming process and has purifying, restorative, revitalizing, and uplifting qualities. So I thought it would be perfect to be used in a nice, warm, relaxing bath environment.
I also wanted to include the third gift that the Wisemen brought to the baby Jesus and decided to add some Gold Chocolate Coins in a little linen pouch.
And of course I needed to have the perfect size of wooden crate for them to all fit in. I made this crate out of leftover wood scraps and then stained it. I will for sure share the tutorial for this for those of you who may be interested.
Now…I realize that MOST of you are not going to have essential oils Frankincense and Myrrh laying around the house. If you do…GREAT!! You can make some of these today…or at least when I share the recipe!
So, I thought it would be fun to give a set of Individual Frankincense & Myrrh DoTerra Essential Oils (not this gift basket) to one of you!
I will be sharing the tutorials and recipes for these oils tomorrow! Today I want to give some away! If you would like to be entered for a chance to win a bottle of Frankincense & Myrrh DoTerra Essential Oils, simply follow the directions in the Rafflecopter Box below.

I am eagerly waiting for the tutorial. My sister lives in Texas, I in Utah. She sells DoTerra and loves to make her own lotions, bath salts etc. She will be so surprised and thrilled when she opens this for her present. Can’t wait for the details so I can get started. Specifically I hope you include a printable for the labels & don’t forget to add where you got the bottles. :-)

Just found you and I love the three gifts idea. I will definitely be making this next year – I’m making my list of who to give them to! Thanks so much.
Love all your ideas. I want to know where you got the gold coins or can I make them?
Costco sold them in a large bag this past Holiday season. I have also seen them in some bulk candy displays and at the dollar store.
This is a great idea. I have actual Frankincense and Myrrh that I was gonna put in little ornaments for my sunday school class. Now I want to try your idea for gifts. Thank you for sharing.
This is a fantastic idea to gift to my Christian School co-workers! I’m finding that the link posted for the recipes is not working. Did you perhaps take that post down?
For some reason that link seems to be broken I will work on getting it working again! Thanks for letting me know!
Any luck getting those links back up & running? I would like to make these in bulk to pass out to coworkers/teachers etc this year for Christmas but need to know the bottle sizes etc so I can make sure and order enough ingredients! Thanks!!!

I am making these for our sweet teachers at the kids school. I did this a couple of years ago and used your amazing print outs. Sadly, I for some reason I am unable to print them. Is there any way you could help me with this??? They were SUCH a big hit. You are super creative!
Thanks and Merry Christmas,
~Denise
