This past week I was given the amazing opportunity to travel to Florida with GMC to see the 2016 HGTV Dream Home in Merritt Island, Florida. How fun is that?
Several bloggers and I were able to drive the all new, not-yet-released 2017 GMC Acadia from Orlando to Merritt Island to experience the car and tour the HGTV Dream Home.
Brooke, Mandi and I were able to drive the 2017 GMC Acadia All Terrain Vehicle. Talk about an enjoyable ride…sunglasses, sunshine, girlfriends, palm trees, and driving a pretty car on a road trip to a dream home.
The Acadia has so many amazing safety features such as Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Side Blind Zone Alert and more. The great thing is that you felt like you were driving in a luxury car with all the bells and whistles…well…we pretty much were! Learn more about the Acadia here.
One of my favorite things about the new Acadia’s is the new feature and the easy access to the third row seat. The second row seat comes in either the captain’s chairs or a split-folding bench. The seats bend down and slide forward at such an angle, that you can still keep a car seat strapped in AND allow a passenger to climb…EASILY…into the back row. If you have multiple kids and carpools, you know that is a game changer!
Before entering the HGTV Dream Home we had a fun little surprise…Watch the video to see what it was!
The 2016 HGTV Dream Home celebrates its 20th anniversary on Merritt Island, Florida. The home was originally built in 1990 and is the first HGTV Home remodel.
The home is approximately 3,158 square feet of pure loveliness and was designed by Brian Patrick Flynn. The home consists of 3 bedrooms and five bathrooms and sits on the Indian River Lagoon waterfront.
The home also has a three car garage…which could comfortably house your GMC Acadia. There is also a private dock and covered boat slip.
This beautiful home has a new owner who will be able to enjoy it for years to come. I mean seriously…I feel like I could live here…I would invite all of you over for a house warming party…wouldn’t that be lovely?!
I took so many pictures and tried to narrow it down, but was having a difficult time…so I will just let you feast on the beautiful eye candy and let the pictures speak for themselves.
We enjoyed the lovely weather and a delicious lunch under these tents in the backyard oasis. Wouldn’t it be fun to host parties in this setting?
Thanks GMC and HGTV for letting me come and experience this. I enjoyed it immensely.
What do you think? Where there some elements to this home that you loved?
