I had a couple of posts that I wanted to write up for you but am feeling zero motivation at the moment. Actually I have had a couple of weeks now where I just haven’t had any motivation to do much of anything. Ever felt that way? I have just been content to sit on the couch at night and do nothing…N-O-T-H-I-N-G! And do you know what? It has been so nice!
Summer has me feeling super lazy (like the most important thing on my to do list is collecting rocks on the beach)! I have been enjoying just hanging out with the kids. And…training for my race next month has me worn out! Sometimes I wonder why in the world I am doing this! But I keep at it because part of me loves it even though sometimes I secretly dread it…Does that make any sense? All I know is that I have wanted to run a half marathon for a very long time now and if I don’t do it now…it probably won’t happen. I’m not getting any younger or faster here people!
So I am finding that all of my “spare” time is being eaten up with running and keeping up with the kids being home all day. And you know what? That is okay! So I am just enjoying things the way they are. I like to be productive but sometimes it feels good to just…BE!
So tonight…I am once again sitting on the couch catching up on old movies and television shows. I rarely watch T.V. anymore…so this has been a fun week for me. So please excuse me while I snack on some of these lovelies….Fresh Utah Cherries!!
And sip my Dr. Pepper ice water (with crushed ice and a skinny straw)!
Can anyone relate?? I love me some summer!!

Yes, I love me some summer! And those cherries? Stunning! I’m ready for a vacay in the middle of my vacay–any takers? ;)

I’ve been doing a whole lot of nothing, too. I hear the call of unfinished projects, but the call of the kids in the pool is stronger and I’ve been spending an awful lot of time poolside. Beautiful pics and wonderful sentiments, too! Thanks for sharing.

I too have been enjoying the lazy days of summer… and the long nights (read – late bedtimes) that come with it! My projects are beckoning me, but the couch and a little snuggle with my chickies always win out!

I can soooooo relate! I don’t feel motivated to do much of anything right now and I am not even training for a half marathon unless you count potty training my son :) enjoy your break, we’ll be here whenever your ready to jump back in.

Glad to know I’m not the only one feeling unmotivated lately… seems I’m seeing this repeat itself on several blogs! I usually {hate} feeling this way, but at least it’s summer {yea!} and there is much to focus my distraction upon! Right there with ya, Amy! Love me some summer!

Just finished up my first half marathon. It is worth every single training run! Good luck. I haven’t even been in my sewing/craft room since my daughter got out of preschool for the summer :) but that’s okay, we are have an awesome summer making memories together.

Can definitely relate. I always make a mental list of things to work on after kids go to bed. Ha. By then, I choose to relax and catch up on shows. It’s needed.

I can totally relate! Some weeks are so hectic I can’t keep up with all the things I want to do. But you have to always remember that sometimes it’s OK to sit back and relax… After all… Work isn’t a rabbit, it will wait.
