In a household of 7 people, in today’s day and age of technology, we have a lot of devices in our home. That’s a lot of devices to charge. I was recently asked to review some new Qi (pronounced “CHEE”) Wireless Chargers, by the Wireless Power Consortium, group behind the technology that works to develop the Qi wireless charging standard. Members of the WPC (like IKEA, iHome and TYLT) create their products using the Qi standard in their certified products.
If you haven’t heard of Qi Wireless Chargers, they use optimized inductive charging, also known as “wireless charging.” This allows you to charge your devices wirelessly. Only compatible devices’ batteries are charged by using induction transfer and there are no separate chargers, cables or adapters needed while travelling. Simply place your compatible device on top of the wireless pad and let your phone be charged!
I was sent three different chargers and was able to spend some time using each product to see which one was my favorite. I have to say that these chargers work pretty quickly. I was surprised at how easily they seem to work and I LOVE not having to deal with cords…cords clutter and I do NOT get along.
After some consideration, I would have to rank my favorites in this order:
The iHome was my favorite product for a lot of different reasons. First, I love the versatility of this product. You have a clock, an alarm clock, and the ability to charge wirelessly all in one product. You can also connect your phone via your bluetooth and play your music through the speakers. It worked so well and I was very happy with this product.

- Aux-in jack (audio cable not included)
- 1 Amp USB port to charge most mobile devices
- 100V – 240V universal voltage AC adapter
Now these next two were hard to place in a second and third place because I liked them both for different reasons. But because I had to choose, I picked the ZENS iPhone 6 / 6S Wireless Charging Case to be my second favorite.

I LOVE having a protective case that charges my phone. When I travel for business, it can be hard keeping a charge in my phone when I have a long day traveling and no access to an electrical outlet. The last thing I want is to have my phone die when I need it to get me from place to place in a city I am unfamiliar with. I also spend a lot of time on my phone for work and it’s important to be able to have a full charge for getting my work done.
And finally, my third choice was the Fast-Charger Wireless Charging Pad. There really wasn’t anything wrong with this charger to put it in third place. This charges your device VERY quickly. Sometimes I get impatient and want my device charged…NOW! This can charge my phone from empty to full in about 2 hours.
