Fourth of July Printables

I am joining with a group of bloggers over the next several months to bring you a monthly printable.  I did this last year with a group of friends and really enjoyed it and we thought it would be fun to get it up and running again.  We hope you will love it too.  It is nice to be able to find something fun that you can simply print out and use in your home for simple decor, party ideas, crafts and etc.

This month, since the Fourth of July is upon us, we thought it would be fun if we each shared a Fourth of July Printable.  We usually get together with family and friends on the Fourth of July and celebrate with a fun picnic or BBQ.  So I thought it would be fun to add some simple drink labels to the party decor.  It is a great way to add a simple decorative touch to your table.

My kids love to drink out of Mason Jars so I just made some labels to fit the top of the standard Mason Jar lid.  Simply download the labels and print them out.  Then use your Mason Lid to determine how large you want to cut around the labels.  Cut and then place them on top of the metal lid.  I punched a hole in the tops of the lids so that the straws could fit through them as I shared with you here:

Foruth of July Printables–Sparkler Box Labels

Are you fans of doing the at home fireworks to celebrate with on the Fourth of July?  We do a few…nothing too crazy but we usually always include some sparklers.  Why not make them a little more fun and fancy.  Or give them to your guests at your family BBQ.  Either way, you are sure to enjoy these free Fourth of July Printables.

All you need to do is print out this festive sparkler wrapper and glue it onto the box.  Viola!  It doesn’t get any easier than that.

The printable is made to fit these sparklers.  I have seen them both at Wal-Mart and Target so most of you should be able to pick some up for yourselves.

Fourth of July Treats–Kiss Stickers & Bottle Labels

I have fallen in love with bottles and Hershey Kiss Stickers and have used them to come up with some easy to gift Holiday treat ideas for a couple of other Holidays…so why not come up with a Fourth of July version as well.  I didn’t think you would object ;)!  These are fun Fourth of July Treats.

So…I am sharing them with you today so that you can use them to gift to your friends and family this Fourth of July.  Or…if you don’t need a little gift idea you could use them to fill up a jar for some Fourth of July home décor.  Or serve them at your Fourth of July BBQ.

I had some of this fantastic glitter paper left over from this past American Crafts post, and it is too sparkly to not use.  So I whipped up a little Fourth of July Label by cutting out the Fourth of July Label I printed and then added some larger circles and a scallop.  Cut them by hand or use a circle cutter and then stack them up with some glue.

I simply attached it to a string and hung it around the neck of the bottle.  Makes a super easy and sparkly Fourth of July treat!

On a whim, I tried to come up with a more “kid” friendly version that can’t be dropped and broken like a glass bottle can.  I simply grabbed an empty toilet paper roll and covered it with some scrap book paper in festive holiday colors.  And it turns out that the Starbucks Frappuccino Bottles (which I use in this post…and a million others Winking smile) fits the roll perfectly!!

Fill the tube up with some kisses that have the Fourth of July Kiss Stickers attached. I simply print them out on regular computer paper and glue them on with a glue stick.  Works great and I don’t have to bother with printable sticker paper.

With the Fourth of July right around the corner, I am sure many Americans have Holiday plans on their minds.  We usually spend the Holiday weekend with family and friends and at some point those plans always involve a big, back yard BBQ.

fourth-of-july

One of the easier ways to add some fun color to the festivities is too add some simple Soda Bottle Labels to the drinks you will be serving.  We really try hard to not let the kids drink a lot of sugary sodas, but on the holidays we have been known to let them have it as a treat.

fourth-of-july-printables

The sodas I decided on this year are IBC Rootbeer (diet and regular).  Truth be told, there are a couple of reasons I chose these bottled drinks.  First and foremost is that the bottle lids were RED and BLUE! (A sad but true glimpse into a blogger’s life)  Second, my kids LOVE Root Beer.

fourth-of-july

Simply print and cut out the labels, which are available in red or a blue design.  Then glue the one end of the label onto the other end as it is wrapped around the middle of the bottle.  These labels were made to fit the IBC Root Beer Bottles perfectly.  If you use another Soda Bottle be sure to measure the bottles before cutting out the labels so you can cut and adjust them to the size you may need.

And because I am an over-achiever…which by this point I am sure has been understood by you…I decided to whip up this simple Soda Bottle Box.  I just used some scrap wood and threw it together and will be sharing the tutorial here soon.

I did line the Soda Box with some plastic so that you can actually place the soda in the box along with some ice to keep them icy cold for your BBQ guests to enjoy as the 4th of July usually comes with some hot and sunny weather.

How do you celebrate the Fourth of July?  Do you have a BBQ with friends and family?  Go to a fireworks show or have your own firework show?  However you celebrate, I hope you have an enjoyable and safe Holiday!

Popcorn Box Template—fourth of July Party

I recently was able to play around with some fun glitter paper from American Crafts.  The paper is really thick and comes in some fun colors and patterns.  I knew I wanted to use the paper for a Fourth of July project and decided to make some fun and festive boxes for your holiday treats.

popcorn-boxes 6

They are so easy to make.  All you need is to download the Popcorn Box template and use it as a pattern for your box.

To download a copy of the template, click on the link below and then select Previous Downloads:

I simply placed the template onto the back of the paper and traced around it in pencil.  Then simply cut it out in an old school fashion with some scissors.  Then I used a straight edge ruler to help me fold the sides of the paper nice and evenly where it needed to be folded.

popcorn-boxes 7

Then I glued the ends together with my hot glue gun.  I found that the paper was too thick for traditional glue to hold it together well.  I decided they needed a little more pizazz.  I quickly made up some Fourth of July tags by punching out some 2 inch scalloped circles and then gluing on some 1.5 inch tags.  You can download the Fourth of July Tags here:

{Fourth of July Tags}

And, if you are feeling even more fun and festive, you can add some of these fun paper stars from American Crafts.  I simply took some thin copper wire I had laying around and then attached the wire to the inside of the boxes with some scotch tape.

popcorn-box-stars

Then twisted the wire around my finger to make them curly and then stuck the stars on the tops of the wires.

popcorn-boxes 3

Then fill them up with your favorite treats….Popcorn for your outdoor movie or for eating while watching a firework show.  Or fill them up with your favorite candy or baked goodies.

popcorn-boxes 8

The fun thing about these boxes is that they can be so versatile.  Use them for your birthday parties, shower favors, or wedding treats.  Just change the color and pattern of your favorite American Crafts paper to fit your theme.

Guest Post Header

Amy is one of my favorite people out in blogland and a dear sweet friend! I am so honored that she asked me to join you guys to share one of my goodies.

Our family just moved from Las Vegas to Lincoln, Nebraska and for the first time in our family’s history we have a backyard that is perfect for entertaining in. That’s a HUGE deal in my books. I love to entertain and there is nothing better than a good ole’ backyard barbecue, full of family and friends to share in all the summer fun.

I’m also a details girl. You know those extra special touches that take your backyard barbecue and transforms it into a real event. Nothing over the top, just those extra special touches that tells your guest that you really took the time to make sure this was a special occasion.

One thing that I like to do when throwing a backyard party is to hand out glow sticks to all the kiddos when the sun starts to set. You’d be surprised how this will take your gathering to a whole new level. It’s so funny to see how even he adults love to get in on all the glow stick fun as well.

WhipperBerry-Summer-Party-Printable

What takes this whole idea up a notch, is the fun printable glow stick holder that you can display for your guests, that really jazzes up the idea. They are super simple to make.
