I decided to make a Lemonade Kit gift idea. This is so simple, but a really fun gift to give and receive. The gift includes everything you need to be able to whip up some amazing Homemade Lemonade. Simply gather up the following supplies:

  • Glass Pitcher (I found mine at Home Goods for $7.99)
  • 6-7 fresh Lemons
  • 1 cup Sugar (in a plastic baggie)
  • Baker’s twine
  • free printables

I placed the bag of sugar in the bottom of the pitcher and then filled it up with the lemons. Then I simply attached the printable Homemade Lemonade Kit Label and the Recipe to the outside of the pitcher. You will want to include these so that the gift recipient can be able to make the Homemade Lemonade by following the directions and just adding water.

I also made some printable Homemade Lemonade Labels for some cute Lemonade jars if you would like to use those as well. You could give a couple of the empty glasses with the Homemade Lemonade Kit or just make the Lemonade and give away some jars of Homemade Lemonade.

A simple and easy gift that anyone would love to receive. I know I would! I think I will be giving these away as teacher gifts at the end of the school year. A great way to say goodbye to school and welcome the summer!

Now…Be sure to head on over to these other amazing sites and check out their fun printables!

Homemade Lemonade Recipe

*Recipe from AllRecipes

Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 8-9 cups water {more or less for a sweet or tart taste}
  • 1 1/2 cups lemon juice from freshly squeezed lemons

Directions:
  1. In a small saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup water. Bring to boil and stir to dissolve sugar. Allow to cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate until chilled.
  2. Remove seeds from lemon juice, but leave pulp. In a pitcher, stir together chilled syrup, lemon juice and remaining 7 cups water.
*Tip—to get the most out of your lemons you can either soak the lemons in hot water for 10 minutes or put them in the microwave for 30 seconds.  This helps to release the lemon juice.  Then before cutting them in half, roll them on the counter with the palm of your hand.

Whip it up and serve it with some ice cubes or freeze it in your ice cream maker to make it a nice cold Frozen Lemonade!  And…one little tip I learned to prevent your ice from watering down your lemonade as it melts is to freeze some lemonade in your ice trays and use them to keep your drinks ice cold.  It works great!
