Recipe Book & a Giveaway

Mother’s Day is upon us…but have no fear…I have a great gift idea for the mother’s and women in your life!  If you are like me, you have a lot of loose recipes in the form of magazine pages, printed recipes from the internet and handwritten recipe cards shoved into a makeshift recipe book.  Wanting to organize my recipes in a pretty fashion, I decided to design a very versatile, functional…but equally CUTE Recipe Book.

I made some recipe index pages and placed them in a 3 ring binder.  Each page and recipe can be slipped into a plastic sleeve which allows you to fit any size of recipe, in any form that you may have.  These allow you to keep the recipes organized and in the proper order.  And, if you are a messy baker like I am…the plastic sleeves can easily be wiped down with a damp cloth to clean off any spills or spots.

I love this organization system and think that it would make the perfect gift for any woman…or man for that matter.  I plan to make one for each of my children and add their favorite family recipes in them so they can take them with them when they move out and begin their own lives…which is coming way too fast for me!  Seriously…in two years…my oldest will be moving out…and I can’t even stand to think about it.

And, of course, I will share these recipe book printable pages with you.  I also plan to start sharing some of our regular everyday family favorite recipes with you so that you can start filling up your recipe books too.  This is a great way for me to get motivated to make family dinners and update our family recipe book and recipes.

Tomorrow I will share the printable index pages and the front cover so that you can get the recipe book started and give it as a gift to your favorite Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, or friend…or make one for yourself!

If you would like to download the Recipe Book Printables, be sure to come back tomorrow when I will share them.  But today…I would love for you to enter this amazing Mother’s Day Giveaway a group of bloggers and I have shared.  You are going to love this one!

Homemade Lemonade Gift Kit and Printables

I recently teamed up with ELEVEN other bloggers to bring you a fun NEW series each and every month. Each month we will collaborate around a fun theme and offer TWELVE different FREE printables for your personal use.

This month, our Printable Blog Hop theme is “Spring”! Each blogger is sharing their printables on their own sites. So be sure to hop on over to their respective sites using the links below and check them out. They are all sharing some really fun ideas!

I decided to make a Lemonade Kit gift idea. This is so simple, but a really fun gift to give and receive. The gift includes everything you need to be able to whip up some amazing Homemade Lemonade. Simply gather up the following supplies:

  • Glass Pitcher (I found mine at Home Goods for $7.99)
  • 6-7 fresh Lemons
  • 1 cup Sugar (in a plastic baggie)
  • Baker’s twine
  • free printables

I placed the bag of sugar in the bottom of the pitcher and then filled it up with the lemons. Then I simply attached the printable Homemade Lemonade Kit Label and the Recipe to the outside of the pitcher. You will want to include these so that the gift recipient can be able to make the Homemade Lemonade by following the directions and just adding water.

I also made some printable Homemade Lemonade Labels for some cute Lemonade jars if you would like to use those as well. You could give a couple of the empty glasses with the Homemade Lemonade Kit or just make the Lemonade and give away some jars of Homemade Lemonade.

A simple and easy gift that anyone would love to receive. I know I would! I think I will be giving these away as teacher gifts at the end of the school year. A great way to say goodbye to school and welcome the summer!

Now…Be sure to head on over to these other amazing sites and check out their fun printables!
