I was recently sent some Double-Sided Adhesive paper from Silhouette and challenged to come up with a creative way to use it and make some Valentine’s Day Crafts. I have never used this before and I have to tell you, I was really quite surprised with how much I enjoyed it.

Alright, now onto how I made these glittery milk and gift bottles.

Directions:

I found some fun heart shapes in the Online Silhouette Store and downloaded them.
Sized them in the Silhouette Software to 1.5 inches in width.
Cut them out according to the directions on the Double-Sided adhesive box.
My settings were: Speed: 3; Thickness: 33; Blade setting: 6 using my mat and a double cut.
Peel off the back yellow layer of paper on an individual heart.

Placed onto clean “milk” bottles (which are repurposed Starbucks Frappucino Bottles)
Peeled off the white top layer and made sure all the adhesive was pulled out of the negative space area where I did not want any glitter.
Dust glitter over the sticky adhesive and then using a clean brush, brushed away the excess glitter.

Then fill the bottles with your favorite drink. These bottles can be used at a Valentine’s day party in the classroom, or with your friends and family.

For Valentine’s Day we usually have a nice candle-light family dinner. I think I will be including these as part of the table settings this year!

Or you could gift the jars to a special friend as a nice little Valentine’s Day gift along with some VERY RICH chocolate sweets! Your friends will thank you!

For the fun Heart Shaped Cookies in the photos, I simply took a favorite Chocolate Drop Cookie Recipe and cut the cookies with a heart shaped cookie cutter. Then made a cookie sandwich by spreading some delicious Cream Cheese Frosting in between the two layers.

Cause seriously…if you are going to eat a treat…it might as well be a good one…right? All things in moderation of course. So limit yourself to 2…or 3 depending on the type of day your having…haha!

Tic-Tacs Tik-Tok Valentine

Here is another quick and easy homemade Valentine’s Day gift. This is another simple one that you can simply print the label and paste it right over the existing label of a box of Tic Tac’s.

It doesn’t get any simpler than that does it? These could be fun to give to your teacher or your significant other alone or in a gift basket.

I have a couple more simple gift ideas coming this week and then I promise to move on to some bigger and better home décor items. Is anyone else getting tired of the cold at your house? I have been so unmotivated because it has been so frigid over here! My pipe in my kitchen sink even froze. If you follow me on FB you know that we were luckily able to get the pipe to thaw slowly, saving us from a burst pipe. Thank Goodness! Those are not fun!

Valentines Day Gift—I Chews YOu!

I have an entire week of some simple Valentine’s Day Gifts ideas and free printables to go with them coming up! I meant to get this up sooner…but had to deal with a frozen pipe under my kitchen sink today. Good news is, we were able to slowly thaw the frozen line and so far things look like a disaster has been averted. Thank goodness!

Last week I shared with you a couple other Valentine’s Day gift ideas…Crush Valentines Gifts and the Sealed with a Kiss Valentines gift ideas.

Today I am providing you with this printable “I Chews You!” Valentines day gift tag. All you need to do is wrap up some gum or a “chewy” candy and add the fun tag.

I have been having a lot of fun lately playing around with and making labels…so don’t be surprised when you see them popping up here this week. I promise to stop shortly though, cause I have a recent project that I made for my son’s room recently that I am super excited about!
