Are you familiar with Velata? Well, you should be! Last April, I was lucky enough to be chosen to participate in a small focus group. In this group we were able to sample the new Velata Warmers and chocolates. I was so impressed by the amazing quality and taste of the chocolates. I liked them all, but my favorite was the Caramel Milk Chocolate! YUM!
I also couldn’t believe how easy it was to use the Velata warmers. Simply open the pouch and pour the chocolate or caramel right into the special Velata warmer dishes and let the chocolate warm up to the perfect smooth and creamy consistency.
Here is what the makers of Velata have to say about their product:
We set out in search of the world’s most perfect, blow-your-mind chocolate. Our journey took us to (where else) Belgium — the world capital of fine chocolate. We found the perfect chocolate with the purest ingredients and the velvetiest (sometimes you have to invent a word) consistency. The kind of chocolate fondue you want to dip into, heart and soul.
Perfect chocolate needs a perfect melt! So we invented a patent-pending silicone dish heated by a light bulb in a hip, fun, smart fondue warmer. Who else but Scentsy could find a hip, fun, smart way to use a light bulb?
Whether you are a foodie, a trendsetter, or just someone who thinks of chocolate as its own food group, Velata fondue products are for you.
Take a dip in indulgent Velata chocolate. Once you’re hooked, make sure to take a look at the Velata opportunity. You never know, you may make a life out of your love of chocolate.
Jana Bennett, an Independent Consultant with Velata, wants you to be able to enjoy the Velata experience for yourself. She is generously giving…
One Idea Room reader a Velata warmer of their choice along with 3 packs of the Scentsy Chocolates {which come in Dark Chocolate, Milk Chocolate, Caramel Milk Chocolate, and White Chocolate}.
If you would like to enter for a chance to win simply follow the directions in the Rafflecopter box below.
If you would like to learn more about Velata or how you can purchase some for your Holiday parties this year, you can contact Jana Bennett for more information, by clicking on her name.

Anything handmade. I love the thoughtfulness behind handmade gifts.
The best gift I ever received was a spoon. Sounds simple but it isn’t. In England they have these spoons Called Welsh Love Spoons. They are carved from on piece of wood and every symbol on it means something. I bought one, spending hours picking out the symbols that meant something to me. On our move back from overseas it got lost. A couple of years later my husband got online and researched where he could buy one and get it sent to the US. He picked all the symbols and had this one engraved with our names and anniversary. I had no idea. I had figured that it was lost forever. The original one is. The second one has less stuff on it but means so much more to me because my husband went through so much to find it for me and to surprise me with it. There is a reason we have been married fro 27 years.
The best gift I ever gave was a scrapbook of photos to each of our family who vacationed together. Fun pictures of the cousins playing and of grandparents. Good, sweet memories.

The best gift I ever gave to someone was to an elderly patient at the optometry office I worked in at the time. He had low vision and he needed a special type of magnifier to read. However, due to a very limited income, he could not afford to purchase one. I bought the magnifier for him and mailed it to him somewhat anonymously…he just knows it came from our office. He was so happy to finally be able to read, but so confused about why we just gave him one, the next time he came in. It made me smile to help him.
The best gift I received was a handmade book from my nine year old son. It was full of pictures, poems, stories. He worked so hard on it. It is really amazing.
I would love to win one of these. I love to entertain and this would make a great edition to a sweet table. The greatest gift I received was my husband. Today is our 25th Anniversary, he is my best friend and confidant. Couldn’t ask for anyone better for me.

how fun!
a hamster. i gave my youngest a hamster. the summer before last, i made a deal with all 3 girls, learn “X” (academic goals) and you may have a pet of your own; now, you need to know i made this deal specifically because the youngest was struggling horribly with sight words and i knew she desperately wanted a hamster so it was a good carrot, but i couldn’t make the offer to her only, so incentives for all. youngest tried mightily, continuing to struggle and sadly, did not achieve her goal. there were tears. lots of them. especially when the other 2 got their pets. it was horrible because i knew how hard she had tried. fast forward to the new school year. i had her tested because she excelled academically in all areas except reading and writing….it just seemed like there was a disconnect somewhere. best thing i ever did. turns out she has a pretty major learning disability. so for christmas last year, she got a hamster.

The best gift I’ve ever given was when I “borrowed” my husbands car for the day and had speakers put into his headrests. A week later I put a mixed tape, yes that’s how long ago this was, into the cassette player, turned the speakers on and left a note that said “play me.” It took him a few minutes to realize where the awesome sound was coming from.
The best gift that my daughter gave was when she collected pennies for a domestic violence shelter and called it “Penny Love”. At christmas we went to the dollar store and bought toiletries, toys, and all kinds of things for them, wrapped and delivered together, it was an amazing feeling! I was so proud of her.

My favorite gifts I have given and received were each very thoughtful. My favorite gift I have given was for my husband. He was about to start his first year of law school and we were moving to a new state where we didn’t know anyone. I knew he was really stressed out about everything and his birthday was coming up, so I had all of his family members, some of mine, and his close friends from different stages in life right letters to him about favorite memories with David. Most included a picture or pictures. In secret I put it all together in a scrapbook and of course included my own letter. My husband cried like a baby when he saw it! It is now a very cherished book in our home.
My favorite gift is really going to date me but it was a Suzy Homemaker! How many remember it? I actually still have in the attic in my parents’ home! I really thought I was hot stuff baking real cakes and all!
