Celebrating the New Year with kids? This year, I thought it would be fun to play some fun New Year’s Eve Minute To Win It Games together with my family. These games are great for kids, big or little.
NEW YEAR’S EVE
Do you have a party in your home on New Year’s Eve? Or, do you go out to a party?
We usually get together with family and have a party together. Most years we celebrate by eating yummy food and staying up late. Usually, we play games, hang out and watch movies together. As the kids get older, we have more and more of them who are joining us for these fun late night games.
I came up with 10 adapted versions of some Minute To Win It Games and modified them to fit our New Year’s Eve Theme. I am sharing them here with you so that you can play them too.
WHAT IS MINUTE TO WIN IT?
Minute to Win It is a game where players take part in a series of 60-second challenges, that use objects commonly available around the house.
MINUTE TO WIN IT GAMES
Today, I will be sharing some free printable cards for each of our New Year’s Eve Minute to Win It Games. The cards have the rules for each game. I also have some free printables to go with the games that need them.
LET’S GET STARTED
First, click on the links and download them to make your own games to play at your Holiday Party. Second, we used this countdown timer for the games, but really any timer will work. Also, we played in teams and took turns taking the different challenges. We chose to compete by which team could complete each challenge the fastest. You can adjust the rules to work with your own group depending on the ages of those playing and the number of players you have.

Do you have a picture of your poster board clock? Did you just cut holes out for each hour that they try to throw the marshmallows through? How big are the holes? Did you also have a number by the hole? Thank you so much for sharing all your fun ideas & printables!
thank you!
Thanks for sharing! You’ve made my job so much easier this nye. I plan to do 8 challenges; 1 every 30 minutes until midnight. I will print the directions on paper and hide each one in a different numbered balloon which will be popped by a different kid each 30 minutes.
Any suggestions on alloted time for each game?
I had the same question until I realized these are “minute” to win it games.
Thank you so much for the ideas! Can you explain the balloon one a little more? The they use the air from the balloons to knock the cup over? Are the cups in a straight line or in a circle clock. Thanks!!
