NAVAJO TACOS
If you have not had a Navajo Taco before, you might want to give them a try. We don’t eat them very often because we are trying to move away from fried foods, but when we make them…the kids have been known to give an energetic arm pump accompanied by a “YES! You are the best Mom!”
Forgive the terrible lighting…and the unappetizing photos…it takes some real talent to take great food photography shots and apparently I have a few things to learn. But don’t let the picture fool you…these are super tasty.

I grew up eating these in my Cherokee family, we always called them “Indian” Taco’s =)

I LOVE Navajo Tacos! I am from the Navajo Reservation and grew up eating these, so it warms my heart to see legitimate Navajo Tacos online. Have you ever tried them with simple pinto beans, or even with chili? My family likes the chili version because the sauce soaks into to the frybread and gives it an extra kick. Quite delicious!
Thank you for sharing!

I would love to try these, however I don’t see a “printer friendly” link for the recipe. I don’t like to take my computer into the kitchen, I’m a messy chef ;)

I haven’t tried them yet, but I will now!
The Idea Room Assistant says
You should, they are delicious!
I’m making these now but was curious approximately how many does this make?
About 6 Tacos. Enjoy!
