BAKED OATMEAL
This Baked Oatmeal Recipe is one of our family’s favorite go-to Breakfast Recipes. It is so good and is often requested by each of my children. I love to make it for any family events as well because it is easy to make it the night before so I don’t have to get up early and do some baking!
BAKED OATMEAL RECIPE
We have tried a few different Baked Oatmeal Recipes and this is by far our favorite. It is moist and delicious and feels more like a cake than Oatmeal. We replaced half of the oil in this recipe with applesauce so it is naturally sweet without all of the fat from the oil!
It fills an entire 9 x 13 pan and is quite filling so it is perfect for a family event or for a larger family. It freezes well, so sometimes I will freeze half of it if I don’t think we will be able to eat it all before it goes bad…but usually it goes so fast that is not a problem.

What kind of oil?
Sue says
I used canola oil and also half whole milk and half fat free.
I’d like to make this for breakfast during busy mornings. Could I bake individual servings in a cupcake pan and then reheat one at a time? How do you recommend reheating? And how long do you think they’d need to bake?
Why not, maybe try baking it for 15-18 minutes. Then you could just microwave them when you want to reheat them. What a great idea!
Just tried the recipe this morning. It is fantastic. Sprinkled a bit of cinnamon on top and that’s all. Husband put milk over it and loved it too. Its like having soft oatmeal cookies for breakfast. Next time and there will be a next time, I’ll use just a little less salt.
Is this oatmeal sweet? Seems like a lot of sugar.
It is a little sweet. It is absolutely delicious though!
It looks delicious!!!

Can these be eaten cold?
Yes, it can be eaten cold. It is better warm in my opinion though.
