This post includes products that were sponsored on behalf of Custom Ink. However all opinions and statements are my own. I only recommend companies and products here on The Idea Room that I can stand behind and that I truly love.
I just got back from Girls Camp and I can’t wait to share with you all the fun things we did! I shared on my social media accounts, mostly Instagram, all the preparations I have been making for this camp that I was in charge of. It took a lot of work to get prepared for, but it was so worth it.

I also was able to work with an amazing company that provided some fun products for the girls and I am excited to share them with you. I know that some of you might be looking for similar products for your own activities and projects in the upcoming future!
To start, I want to share a little background about the Girls Camp. As part of the church that I belong to, The Church of Jesus Christ, I was asked to plan and be in charge of the week long summer camp for the young women in our local congregation. There were 34 girls ranging in age from 11-18 and 14 adult women leaders and a couple of male leaders who would also be attending for extra help and support.
I was given a budget and some guidelines, but otherwise I was able to choose pretty much everything we would be doing. After a lot of research, I decided to get approval to attend a High Adventure Camp in the Uintah Mountains here in Utah. They have a small program that caters to Young Women, based on the Boy Scout program. I was so excited to give the girls an opportunity to step out of their comfort zones and try something that most of them have never had an opportunity to be a part of before.
My Dad loved the outdoors and always created opportunities for us to spend a lot of time in the mountains. I grew up backpacking all over that same Uinta Mountain range with my family, and knew that I wanted the girls to experience the beauty of the mountains and a real camping experience like I did as a kid. I think it’s so important for girls (and guys) to get out of their comfort zone and do something hard!
GIRLS CAMP ACTIVITIES
We camped in tents and participated in some really challenging and fun activities! We packed a lot of fun and activities in just a few days!
- rifle shooting
- climbing wall
- ropes course
- team building games
- skills course
- minute to win it games
- spa day
I was so proud of all of our girls. Almost EVERY. SINGLE. GIRL did all the activities! I didn’t make them do it if they were truly scared, but did encourage them to at least try it…or get the harness on and climb around on the bottom of the wall…and eventually almost all of them were climbing and rappelling that wall like old pros! It was so much fun to watch them overcome their fears and feel so proud and empowered!
Our theme for camp was having “Courage to Stand Strong”. Not only were the girls able to overcome their fears, they were also able to feel encouraged, supported, and united as we all worked together at camp. A huge part of this unity was made possible through a partnership I had with Custom Ink.
I was able to work with Custom Ink so that everyone had matching shirts with our Camp Theme printed on them. I was so happy with the quality of the shirts and the finished product. The shirts (we got this style) turned out so great! Everyone loved them, and we wore them on a couple of different activities together as a whole group! I have even seen the girls wearing their shirts around after getting home from camp! They all raved about how soft and comfortable they were!
Custom Ink was such a great company to work with, and I will be using them for any custom work in the future. They worked hard to create the shirts in the exact way I wanted them and made sure that the final product met my exact approval. The entire process was very easy.
I was also able to create some personalized water bottles for everyone. The girls were so excited to get them! They took them everywhere with them at camp, which was great because it’s so easy to get dehydrated at the elevation we were at!
Besides t-shirts and water bottles, Custom Ink has several other products they are able to personalize for your own specific needs. You can check out their available products here. Custom Ink also has a fundraising opportunities to help people and organizations raise funds and awareness for causes they are passionate about through the sales of custom t-shirts.
So, if you are planning a work party/event, a family reunion or other activities where you need customized clothing or products, be sure to check out Custom Ink.
Because I am so pleased with this company and the quality of their products, I am recommending them to everyone I know! And Custom Ink’s design process is so easy, which is perfect if you feel like you don’t have a way to design a product yourself!
