Do you need another ideas for some fun Halloween Snacks? Today I am sharing my newest version of Halloween Oreos today! This time, I decided to make some Mummy Treats. I actually have two more versions of these Halloween Oreos to share with you and those will be coming later this week. It has been all about the Double Stuft Oreos around here lately. Then I promise not to post any more…for a while that is.
Just like the others, these are pretty simple to make and don’t require anything special.
Just the following ingredients are needed:
Double Stuft Oreos
popsicle sticks {or sucker sticks}
white chocolate {melted}
mini chocolate chips
Simply place the sticks in between the two layers of cookie. Dip the Oreos into the melted chocolate. Instead of dipping, I tend to spoon it onto the Oreos paying close attention to completely covering where the cookie and the stick come together. This will ensure the cookies stay together and don’t fall off of the stick.
Lay the completely chocolate covered Oreos onto some wax paper and add some mini chocolate chips for the eyes. I will sometimes cut the pointy tip off of the mini chocolate chips with my kitchen shears so that the eye will lay flat on the Oreos.
Let them harden by popping them into the freezer for a few minutes. While they are firming up, fill a small plastic baggy with some melted chocolate and cut the end of one of the bottom corners of the bag off. Use the bag to pipe thin lines of chocolate over the mummy to give him some three dimensional bandage wraps.
Pop them back into the freezer until ready to serve or package up for a fun little treat.
Share with your friends or add them to your party table for your guests to enjoy.

I have too many! If you go to the sidebar and click on edible food crafts (or something like that) I should have some more ideas there!
You are amazing…I shall try to make these for all my grandkids for a special treat for the holiday…keep your ideas coming and I shall give YOU all the credit!
haha! Thanks Maryann. Your grandkids are lucky!
okay, so we attempted to make some of these fun oreo pop things….HOW do you get the sticks in without ruining the cookie? Also, how do you cover them completely? I would love to see step by step pics of how you make yours. They still tasted delicious, but I would love to make them look cute like yours too!
I spoon the chocolate over them. I pay close attention to where the stick and the cookie are inserted to give it extra coverage. To put the stick in the cookie, first make sure you are using the Double Stuft. Then hold the cookie between your fingers and thumb and then gently slide the stick into one end firmly holding the cookie. Maybe I will do a video tutorial to show you for the others I have coming later this week.
I tried to go very slowly and carefully, when putting the sticks in, and ended up cracking almost every one. Then, when I went to put the chocolate on, they cracked and fell off. I found it very frustrating, but that’s what I get for trying to do these last minute.
They’re adorable! Can you freeze them? And for how long? Thank you
I actually have frozen them till I needed them a couple of days later. I would not make them too far in advance though. I am not sure how long the chocolate would look nice on the outside without starting to get a bit chalky looking.
Awesome. I am excited to try the pumpkins for a little class that my grandchildren attend.
Thanks Sue! What a fun grandmother you are! They will love it. I wish my grandmas were still alive. She used to do fun stuff with us all the time when we were younger.
adorable!!!
I am going to make these for Halloween this year. They look so yummy. For the eyes, couldn’t you melt the dark chocolate and pipe it for the eyes, that way if you don’t have mini chips at home you don’t have to go buy them.
Thank you so much for sharing. I can’t wait to make these for my kiddos classroom parties!
Question – my edible food markers are always so pale – any tips? I use a Wilton Food Writer
Thanks
