I just got back from a quick trip to North Carolina on behalf of Lowes. As part of the Lowes Creative Bloggers, we were invited out to tour the Lowes Headquarters and meet the entire team we have been working with over the past few years. I feel so blessed to be a part of this fun group and to work so closely with Lowes.
For November, the LCI Bloggers were challenged to come up with a few different ideas…and I chose to share some welcoming Holiday decor. I decided to create a festive Christmas Wreath and add some fun Christmas Decor to my front porch…because it will be the first thing your guests will see when they arrive at your home.
I updated these grey planters that we built by taking out the boxwood plants and replanting them into some other planters in the back yard for the winter months and replacing them with these lighted Christmas Trees from Lowes. I LOVE them!
Then I took a basic battery powered lighted wreath from Lowes and added a JOY banner.
I found these vinyl letter stickers in the aisle with the mailbox supplies and for sale signs. Hello! Such a great find! I know many of you want to use vinyl letters but don’t have a machine to cut vinyl and this is a great solution!! I used the vinyl letters as a stencil for the banner.
The banner is made out of a paint drop cloth! I use drop cloths for all sorts of projects. I just cut them into this flag banner shape and then traced the outline of the vinyl letters with a Sharpie and then colored the letter in. So easy!
Then I took some twine, which I also found at Lowes, and tied the banner onto the wreath. I LOVE how simple this project was. I sometimes tend to go a bit overboard with these projects :) ….
Lowes also has some great outdoor pillows and lanterns. I will be heading back to Lowes to pick up some more to add to my front porch Christmas Decor. I don’t usually jump ahead so quickly and skip Thanksgiving…but bloggers have to keep ahead a bit…and I don’t feel like taking it down now that it is up…you know? Eek! Christmas is coming!!
My friend Jen from Tatertots and Jello shared a similar idea for this challenge. I just love how her porch turned out don’t you? It is so bright and festive!
