I am still in organization mode at my home…are you? I hope so because I have just a few more Organization Tips and Ideas to share with you in the next few days starting with these Printable Clothing Organization Labels.
We finally got new carpet in our upstairs after saving up for it. When we moved in 11 years ago the carpet needed to be replaced, but we couldn’t afford to do it. So we started saving up for it. A couple of years ago we had saved enough money to be able to replace it, but we were thinking about taking down a wall in our Master Bedroom and joining it with a small little “room” that wasn’t big enough to be a bedroom (it used to be our office). So…we didn’t really want to get carpet if we were going to be taking the wall down…. So we kept putting it off.
Then, the day after Thanksgiving, when we couldn’t stand the carpet for one more second, we tore out the wall on a Friday, and got carpet in the upstairs the following Thursday and Friday. And because getting carpet is like basically moving, we had to pull out all the clothing and furniture from the upstairs. After getting the carpet, we put everything back which then forced us to go through all our closets. We donated a lot of items that were too small for the youngest girl and moved the items we were keeping into storage bins in the tops of the girls closet and some in the attic above our garage.
It also forced me to go through my own closet…which admittedly is my one area I struggle with hoarding. I don’t like to get rid of any clothing and will hold onto items I haven’t worn in forever. I finally just cleaned it all out and it feels so good!
So, of course, I had to make some labels…because I LOVE labels and they make me feel happy!
I came up with some labels that were perfect for our own family and our organization needs. And because I already had the basic template, I came up with some more labels to create a collection that should work for most families.
I just taped them onto the plastic storage bins that we use to store the clothing in that we are keeping to pass from one child to another. This way we don’t have all of them in the kids closets and drawers until they actually fit. We try to go through the kids clothes each fall and spring so the kids have the clothing for each season. In Utah, we have four distinct seasons so we don’t really need winter clothes in our drawers during the summers.
And, because I like to share, I have made them available for you to download and print at home for your own use. To download, simply click on the links or the images below and then save them to your computer and print on your printer. Print them on regular computer paper or card stock. To attach to your storage bins you can simply place a piece of clear packing tape over the label (which is what I have done) or you can glue them onto the bins with a simple glue stick. This works just as well and they are like stickers. To remove them simply get them wet and wash off the paper and the glue.
*As always, these are provided for you in good faith that they will be used for personal use only. Do not re-sell these in your shops or send them to your friends or post the links to them with out my permission. If you will send people here to get them, I would appreciate it!
If you like these…share this post with your friends and family so they can get them here too! Thank You!
