We all get in slumps with our creativity, and when this happens, we just need to take a creative break. It will help you see things differently in the future. A challenge for you…take a person (child, husband, sister) doing something (reading, sitting, playing a game), and see how many different angles you can capture them doing this activity. Here is my try with my son jumping on the trampoline:
First, capturing the scene…

great ideas – thanks! We have a short school break coming up and wiil do just that – experiment a little!
I love all the perspectives…it definitely makes me reconsider my angles. Thanks for sharing.
oooh great ideas! I'll give them a try this week!!!
Such fun ideas! Going to try them! I do have a question from your last post of making your own backdrops. Whenever I take a picture inside I get a horrible shadow. How can I get rid of that? It is seriously my enemy and has ruined several otherwise awesome pictures. :-)
cheryl–the shadow can come two ways. 1) if the subject is too close to the backdrop
2) with flash
I don't use flash, but sometimes if they are far enough away from the backdrop and you use a flash, you may not get it,but no flash is the best.
I am just loving your photography tips! I have been following them and then blogging about the outcome on my blog as well! Thank you for the inspiration, it has made my photos a hundred times more interesting!!!

I just found you blog following links from other crafting blogs. I'm loving your photograpgy, so I have a question that's has killed my pictures from the get go… Do you use a certain DOF or what? I gave up and set my Canon on auto which of course kills any DOF because I couldn't find a setting that didn't screw the rest of the picture up.
It is funny that I should read this right now, seeing as how I was just complaining about being in a creative slump. It is very helpful to do things like that… I love your pics!
