Hey guys! I am excited to let you know about a show that our very own Heather Johnson, The Idea Room Parenting Tips Contributor, has been working hard to put together. She has put together an amazing show that you will not want to miss out on. Here is Heather in her own words:
So excited that Amy let me take a few minutes to tell you about an amazing show that is here in Utah next week. It is called Listen To Your Mother and it is a phenomenon that is sweeping the nation city by city. It hits Utah on Thursday May, 9th at 7pm.
Are you looking for the perfect way to celebrate Mother’s Day? Want to meet some of your very favorite bloggers and writers here in Northern Utah? Looking for the perfect Mother’s Day gift for your mom or friend. Do you want a night where you and your girlfriends get to laugh and cry about the good, the bad and the barely rested of motherhood? Then you MUST come to the Listen To Your Mother Show.
The project is half live-stage event, half social media project, a bridge that connects the local community bloggers and writers with our local community itself and the world online.
The Show started with one performance in Madison, WI and has now become a nation–wide movement giving Mother’s Day a microphone and creating a new way to celebrate Mother’s Day by giving a voice to motherhood.
The 90 minute show is a series of 5 minute monologues by some of your favorite Utah bloggers and writers. The cast of the show is knock-out amazing.
It has been such a blessing to produce and direct the first every Listen To Your Mother Show here in Utah. You know how amazing these women are, you read their blogs and their stories and follow their lives through social media. Come and hear their amazing stories in person. And give yourself the perfect Mother’s Day Gift.
And remember, you don’t have to be a mother to enjoy the night. It is so funny, sensitive, and thought provoking, there is something for everyone.
The Show is at Thanksgiving Point on May 9th. 7-9 pm in the Amber Room. You can find all the show information here. And you can buy tickets here. They are only 10 dollars which is a small price to pay for the powerful night you will enjoy. Doors open at 6:15 and you can buy tickets at the door too.
10% of ticket sales will be donated to the Utah Children’s Justice Center. It is such a fun way to give back.
Round up all your girlfriends, your mom, your sisters, husband, neighbors and friends and join us.
Plus, I would get to meet you. And that would make me so happy. When you come, please say hello.
See you there!
