We started the remodel of our kitchen 2.5 years ago and we are finally putting the finishing touches in here.  It has been a long process with us doing most of the work ourselves.  With 5 active kids, jobs, and the everyday hustle and bustle of life, it has taken us some time to get to this point.  Not to mention that once we re-did the kitchen, it spiraled into wanting to re-paint the rest of the house, and once you re-paint, you want to re-do a lot of other things.  I am really close to sharing with you a house tour if you are interested, I just have a few things to finish up.  In the meantime, check out this lovely sign that found a home in our kitchen.

We had this space by the kitchen table and hutch that I was having a difficult time finding something for this space.  I decided that I wanted to make a sign to go here and began looking around for some inspiration pieces.  I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw this sign from Between You & Me Signs.  It was exactly what I was looking for.  If you haven’t noticed, I am a big fan of typography signs.   I love the power of words and wanted to have something prominent in my home to remind us what we as a family believe and aspire to.

    I love the Gray Sunshine Sign. It’s a song that I sang to my boys all the time when they were little. My boys suffered with migraines pretty badly as children. It was the soft singing and gently touching of their head that relieved many a migraine for them. I don’t miss the migraines, but I do miss the gentle time they afforded us.
