I can’t even believe we are getting close enough to going Back to School. Summer just got started! But alas, all good things come to an end…luckily we still have a few weeks…but I have several friends who start back to school in just two weeks! Only one of my kids is looking forward to going back to school…and I am sure it’s because she is excited about being able to eat lunch at the school…finally! haha!
Our little group of bloggers, have teamed up once again this month to bring you some fun Back-to-School Printables. I created a fun Back-to-School Countdown to help decorate your home or Back-to-School party to help get you and the kids thinking about school and schedules again. We will be hanging this in the kitchen on our hutch in a couple of weeks and will use it at our annual Back-To-School dinner we like to have the week before school starts.
I am obsessed with Library Card Catalogs and am hoping to be able to build a replica of one (cross your fingers for me) for a piece of furniture in my home, I saw some old Library Cards! I thought they would be fun to use as a Back To School printable. I used them in a Countdown Banner to get my kids excited (or prepared) for the new School Year to start.
They would also make super cute bookmarks, or Back to School party invitations. You could also print them out and write a little thank you note on them for your School Teachers. Another idea I thought of would be to use them to drop a fun little note to your child in their school lunch boxes or back packs. There really are a lot of fun ways to use these and they are pretty simple to make.
I simply used this printable that I found from My Paper Pony and made my own Countdown Calendar with it. Hers were perfect and JUST what I had had in mind. Use hers if you would like a blank copy of it for a little note card!
To make the little envelopes, I simply cut out some fun patterned scrapbook papers and wrapped them around the bottom of the cards. I have a printable template for you to use as a pattern if you would like to recreate what I made exactly! I simply cut them out and taped them together on the sides of the cards.
I also have the printable Back to School Countdown Calendar for you to print out and use if you would like as well! Then I simply hung them on a string and attached them with some large and small paper clips! You could also use some small clothespins. I opted for the paper clips to keep it on a back to school theme.
Now we can look forward to our new school year with this fun and easy to make Back to School Countdown Calendar! If you would like to make your Countdown longer, simply download the blank calendar and add some more days to it!

Haha! Thanks so much Kristen! Means a lot coming from you! xo
I like this idea. I think you could also post an activity on some of the cards. Maybe down inside the envelope where it wouldn’t be seen. Back to school activities like buying school supplies, labeling them, new shoes, make a list for school lunch ideas, etc.
Great idea! Fun way to turn it into a way to get your last summer activities in!!! Thanks for sharing!
I love this – thanks for sharing! What kind of paper did you print these on?
Thank you! I printed them on regular white cardstock paper.
So cute, I love the pictures and cant wait to make a count down for my kids.
Way too cute! Thanks for sharing. :)
This is beyond cute. I love how simple and graphic it is. I’m so pinning this! I would love for you to share at our link party going on now!
I don’t know if anyone else is having this problem, but the links just open up low quality images in other tabs. When I print the images, they are very blury. Not sharp and pretty like they should be.
