I want to share with you a fun tradition that you can do for your Thanksgiving Dinner this year! We try to make our Thanksgiving Feast a bit more meaningful with our Thanksgiving Thankful Rolls.
Growing up my mom would place a few dry beans on our plate. We would go around the table and take turns naming something we were thankful for…one for each bean. So for the last few years, I thought I would continue on the tradition but in a little more creative way.
I have created a list of several different questions that are typed out. Then I simply print them out and cut out each each question into strips. Then I wrap each folded question in some tinfoil to protect it while the rolls are baking.
Then I simply place the folded notes in between two round pieces of roll dough and then let the dough rise and bake the rolls normally. I actually shared this idea with you a few years ago…but I thought it was time to spruce it up a bit and add some new photos!
You can create your own Thankful Rolls questions…or you can print out the ones I like to use.

If you look closely, you can see the notes in some of these rolls below. Just be sure to warn your guests so that they don’t inadvertently eat the note. No one wants any one to choke on the notes. The Thankful Rolls are a great way to generate a good discussion around the Thanksgiving Dinner table and sharing with others the things you are grateful for and why.
We are so blessed, and sometimes we may need a gentle reminder of the many things we are blessed with.

It should…Just roll them up in it…just make sure your guests are aware to look for notes so they don’t accidently get eaten!!
