Chocolate Layer Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3 cups Flour
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 2 tsp. Baking Soda
  • 1 cup Sour Milk (1 cup milk with 1 tsp. Vinegar added to it)
  • 1 cup Oil (we use coconut oil)
  • 1 cup boiling water

1/2 cup Butter melted in saucepan

  • 4 Tbsp. Cocoa
  • 6 Tbsp. Milk
  • 34 cups Powdered Sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix together the sugar, cocoa, salt and soda with the oil and cream together.
  2. Mix in the other ingredients one at a time and mix until fully incorporated.
  3. Pour into greased and floured pans. Three 8 inch pans or a 9×13 pan.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes for the round pans or (55-60 minutes for a 9×13) pan until a toothpick inserted into the middle of the cake comes out clean.
