When my kids were toddlers and babies, it seemed like the days were long. The days were filled with diapers and toddler messes and on those really long days I would find myself watching the minutes tick by until reinforcements, in the form of my husband, would get home to help me catch a small moment of quiet…or a shower.
Fast forward…or is it slow forward just a few years and it feels like the days are flying by. I can’t believe how quickly these kids are growing up.
With the realization that we have only two summers…TWO summers left with my oldest before he leaves the nest, creating memories with my family has become really important!
Creating memories can be as simple as spending quality time playing games at home or going on a family walk together. We love to do this as a family, especially on Sunday evenings.
My kids enjoy being active and so we thought it would be fun to sign up for The Color Run a couple of months ago. Both my husband and I have done some different races and we wanted to get the kids involved in a fun, low pressure event.
