Hi, I’m Natalie (also known as Recessionista) from Recessionista Party and I’m honored to be guest posting today on the Idea Room. First of all, let me start by saying that Amy is fabulous-OOO in every way and I would imagine her readers are just the same. She’s equally wonderful (if not more) in person as she appears in the virtual world. Her idea library is fantastic and I’m ever amazed how she formulates all these ideas.
If you don’t know about the Recessionista site, let me just tell you that we are all about looking, feeling, and living fabulous, all for a fantastic price. We believe whole heartedly in embracing these tough economic times (that we keep hearing so much about) to be more creative about how we shop, where we shop and most importantly, the price we’re willing to pay when we shop. Simply put, a woman should never be forced to compromise her ability to look like a million bucks while only spending a few.
Just the other day, I received the following request:
“I would love to buy something (or you could give us ideas) on how to organize all the jewelery that you can buy from Recessionista. The big jewels don’t fit in my little jewelry hanger bag and I don’t know what to do. Ideas?”
That’s right, we have big jewels and small jewels. Simple necklaces and big necklaces, all of which are not made for a small little jewelry bag or box. I’ve ran across this problem myself. So here I am, on the Idea blog of blogs, to share a tidbit of knowledge and resources with you.
These types of hangers are not only for the men in your lives and quite frankly work incredibly well to easily store accessories, the best part being, they are less than $2. The hanger on the left cost 5o cents and the one on the right $2.50 at Walmart.
Forget hanging your towels to dry; instead, display all your earrings, necklaces and bracelets away from the little hands in your life.
How cute is that? You can either buy them or if you’re real creative, get a piece of wood and some stylish doorknobs and your done, all for a fraction of the price.

There you have it, an endless supply of inexpensive yet stylish ways to store and display all the jewelry you own. I’m sure there are gazillion more creative ideas floating in cyberspace.
Gone are the days for small bags to house our jewelry and this way things are easier to see. Is there another way you display your jewelry? And what about little children, how do you keep them away from your stash?

Thanks for hosting the jewelery organizer site. I always am looking for ways since i have more and more jewelery and if i don't hang it out, i forget about it. Great ideas and super cute and thanks for thinking of being money friendly since everyone seems to make the most of their money. Thank you, Thank you!!
Great ideas! I wrote a post a while back on using ice cube trays in a drawer to organize my earrings and smaller necklaces. It also keeps little hands from getting into my collection. Here's the post if you have an interest: http://www.chic-critique.com/2009/08/easy-accessory-storage.html
Great ideas for beautiful jewelry. My cousin gave me an idea a while back. You just use an inexpensive cork board. Press in pins or thumbtacks (not the flat kind) and you can hang your jewelry from them. Hang the cork board high enough and the kids can't reach.
Great ideas! I did the coat rack idea for awhile but it was hard to get things out from the back of the hook. Another great idea is an embroidery floss plastic box from a craft store. Each thing has its own little compartment so nothing gets tangled.
I was inspired! I made my own frame to hold jewelry, except instead of a screen, I used BURLAP. Thanks for the great post!
Here is a link to my own inspired creation!

I HAVE USED MANY OF THESE…THE TIE HANGER WORKS SO GOOD FOR NECKLACES! :D
I repurposed a secretary desk that was collecting storage in my bedroom. I love to sit down and pick out the perfect accessories. Here is a post I did about it last year.

Thanks for the great compilation. We’re thinking of making jewelry organizers for craft night and this post is full of great ideas.
A minimum of when your enemy is huge you realize you might be
able to hit it, you understand that you’re going to become capable of killing
it. All bed bugs, as well as their eggs, can be
seen by the naked eye. You can have to watch out and
capture your base insects when they emerge from their habitats.
Whatever the case, cost should never be weighed against what you intend to
benefit in the long run. Nursing aides are also given necessary time to focus better on their jobs and responsibilities through these training
programs. After all, what good is training if your news skills do not get
used.
