Looking for some fun and easy Halloween crafts?

Halloween is right around the corner. Here is a cute and easy Halloween crafts and decoration you can make in less than a half an hour.
You will need a glass block (mine measured 7 1/2 inches) with a hole drilled in the bottom (I found mine at Ben Franklin),
2 sheets of green Velum paper
a Frankenstein silhouette

Modge Podge
a small string of christmas lights.
**Edit–Print the Frankenstein on a laser printer or copy it to prevent the ink from smearing when using the Mod Podge.
Take your green Velum and cut each piece into a square measuring 6 3/4 inches x 6 3/4 inches. Modge Podge them onto each flat section of glass (front and back). After allowing it to dry, take your Frankenstein silhouette that you have cut out of black paper and Modge Podge it onto the front of the glass.
It is a really simple way to adding to your Halloween decor.

Our Lowes carrys tem, but I also found them predrilled at AC Moore and at Michaels.

I have had a few people wanting to make these but can purchase glass blocks around them. I found a place that sells them online. The prices look pretty good but I did not see how much shipping was. They even have green blocks! Here is the link:

Gabby–Yes you could just print it onto green velum. I like to do things the hard way! Just Kidding! I didn't think of doing that! Great idea!
I love this craft!! I use one of these glass blocks with white lights as a christmas decoration. So I was wondering if anyone can think of a way to modify this idea so that the frankenstein could be removed and re-adhered without permanently commiting my glass block?
Woman Interrupted, maybe you could print the graphic and a green background onto inkjet cling film ( like this ) so you could remove it easily.

I just tried to download the Frankenstein and the file is not there. What am i doing wrong? And could you maybe send me a copy? I bought all the stuff today thinking I could do it but now i cant. :(

Cromines–velum can be found at most stores that carry scrapbook paper. They even have sticky back velum that would eliminate the need for Modge Podge, but I couldn't find the sticky back.
Petit–Yes you could! However I wasn't smart enough to think about it when I made it! LOL
Barb–The lights are placed into the hole inside the glass block. I should have mentioned that.

Cute Idea. A gentleman was selling some glass blocks w/the lights at work decorated w/pretty wired ribbon to look like Christmas presents. Loved those too. This gives ideas for other seasons as well. Thanks!
I wanted to ask where you got your image from? Did you freehand it? I belong to a monthly craft club and this will be our october project. After I got the example put together I have had a ton on the girls ask if we could use the tall block and make a bride of frankenstein to go with frank! I actually used my vinyl cutter and cut out my image to make things much easier for all of us!! It has been huge hit! Every one is soo excited!! Thanks!
