Are you looking for a sweet treat that is simple to make and perfect for a little get together with friends and family? Try these Chocolate Raspberry Wontons.
WONTON
These are so good. They are just the right amount of melted chocolate with some tart fresh raspberries. Be sure to serve them warm so the chocolate is gooey. The crisp wontons add to the overall flavor of these tasty treats.
Drizzle with some chocolate syrup if you need a little bit more chocolate…cause in my opinion, one can never have too much chocolate. I also like to dust a little bit of powdered sugar over the top of them to make them a little bit prettier.
FRIED WONTON
If you are looking for a more savory fried wonton, check out our favorite Wonton Recipe! It pairs well with our Cashew Chicken Recipe and our Instant Pot Rice too!

HOW TO MAKE WONTONS

Wontons Recipe
These wontons are delicious and make the perfect side dish or main meal to your Asian dinner. They also make great party appetizers for your next party.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups of lean sausage
- 1 medium egg
- 1-4 oz. can of water chestnuts chopped
- 4 green onions chopped
- ¾ cup celery small diced
- 4 oz. cooked shrimp or 1 4 oz. can of tiny shrimp
- 1-2 pkg Wonton Skins
- ¼ cup water
- 2 Tbsp. of cornstarch
Instructions
-
Brown your sausage over medium heat in skillet. Drain off the fat and set aside.
-
Beat egg in a medium bowl with a fork.
-
Add water chestnuts, onions, celery, and shrimp. Mix together.
-
Mix in the sausage.
-
Open your Wonton Skins (usually found in the produce or refrigerated section of your grocery store).
-
Fill a small bowl with the water and cornstarch and mix them together. This will need to be stirred occasionally as you make the wontons so that the solutions stays mixed together. This is used to seal up the wonton edges.
-
Take one Wonton Skin at a time and add about 1 to 1 ½ Tbsp. of the sausage mixture to the middle of the wonton.
-
Dip your CLEAN fingers into the cornstarch water and run them along the edges of the won ton. Fold the Wontons into a triangle and then pinch the edges together so that the meat will stay inside and it seals up nicely.
-
While preparing the Wontons into triangles, heat up some frying oil so that it reaches a frying temperature.
-
Fry the Wontons until they are golden brown.
-
Pull them out and let them drain on some paper towels before serving.

Can these Chocolate Raspberry Wontons be baked instead of fried? if so at what temp, how long and do they need an egg or milk wash?
Yes, just moisten top corner with water; press to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling. Place on baking sheets coated with cooking spray; lightly coat wontons with additional cooking spray. Bake at 400° for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown, turning once.
