The best gift I ever received was a strand of pearls from my mom. She used money she was willed to by her father that she hadn't seen since she was three. The best Christmas gift I've given my husband so far was converting his beloved video of the Greatest Moments in BYU Football History to DVD the first Christmas we were married. I haven't topped it yet, which I hope shows his love for BYU football more than my lack of skill at coming up with great gifts.

The best present I ever received was from my two sons when they were 9yr and 5yr. For Mothers Day, they collected pictures of themselves and made a collage and framed it with a sweet note. Made me cry.
Yum, I love popcorn. Thanks.
Such a fun giveaway! One of my best gift moments was two years ago. My cousins gave me a PINK Kitchenaid mixer. Totally unexpected. I'm in my 30's and unmarried and it's the sort of thing all of my friends got in their 20's from a bridal shower. I sort of gave up wishing for one. I use that baby ALL THE TIME and am just so grateful for it!
The best Christmas gift that I ever received was homemade coupons from my nieces. They made coupons for things such as "15 minute foot massage", "one free cleaning of your room", "lunch at a diner" etc.
I continue this tradition year after year for others!!!
Its a great idea for those who do not have much money to buy gifts for others.
My husband is obsessed with popcorn!
Anyway ~ I've always loved cats, so it was rough to go through 4 years of college without one (living in dorms). When we got married a year later, my husband was planning on getting me a cat as a wedding gift, but suddenly our new landlord was quoting insanely high pet deposits (we had been told it would be free or cheap), and so I had to wait another 4 years.
Shortly after moving into our new place, we decided to adopt one of my mother-in-law's cats instead of getting a kitten. My husband agreed to make the 4 hour round trip (on a work night) to pick him up for me for Valentine's Day ~ so sweet. His mom had even wrapped a big red bow around the kitty's neck.
I don't know if I would say it was the 'best' gift…but memorable just the same, and as my kids and I have been talking about it (along with Holidays, Thankful hearts, others in need, etc.) this gift is on my mind. A Care Bear. :) Wish Bear actually…and I had wished for wish bear the Christmas before I got it, so 1 year later I was ready for my own radio/cassette player. There is a lesson there…even if to be used 30 years later. ;) I've been teasing my kids if they don't stop telling me what they want for Christmas, and get thankful they'll be getting a Care Bear!… and today my 4 year old watched Care Bears on Netflix and decided he'd really like a Care Bear for Christmas. LOL
Thanks!
The best gift was a family trip to Disney! LOVED it! Nothing better then the family together at the happiest place on earth.
At the risk of sounding corny–
My best gifts were my children. I truly believe that they were a gift from God and I am thankful for them every day.
There's not A favorite gift, but rather, favorite gift givers. I used to work as a Teacher assistant, and gifts from children (not something their moms picked out) have always been my favorite. I still have a little thing, I don't know what you call it, that one kindergartner gave me probably 18 or 19 years ago. (It's along the line of a kaleidoscope, except it doesn't have colors at the bottom, only cut glass, about 3" long). I'm sure it's something she just had in her room, but she wanted to give me something all by herself, just her. I love it.
An anniversary ring for Valentine's Day. My hubby surprised me, I had lost my wedding ring the previous summer.
The best gift I ever received was an Easy Bake Oven when I was about 10 years old. My sister and I used that thing alot…and made some wonderful childhood memories!

I was thinking I'd be stuck at home, my 5 grown children and their families wouldn't be able to come over..and feeling a little down. Out of nowhere, my middle child, Mike, came trudging through the snow in his van with his wife and my granddaughter to surprise me and take me to breakfast! We actually found a place open! It wasn't the breakfast that was the best gift, but knowing how much he loves me to brave the almost 5 foot of snow to surprise me! It certainly brightened my birthday. :)(I made him go immediately home afterwards!) I think it will always be my best birthday ever.

It was the mother's day before my first were born. I had the WORST morning sickness. I woke up and went out into the living room. My husband told me to lay down on the sofa, which I was more than happy to do. The night before we had had a conversation about it being Mother's Day the next day – which my husband had totally "forgotten" – and I was feeling bad about not getting cards out to our moms that year. I found out it was also my mother-in-law's birthday, and I felt horrible about missing that as well. A few minutes after I laid down on the sofa, my husband came in and gave me a dozen roses and kissed my forehead and said, "Happy Mother's Day!" He had also made the BEST breakfast ever — Upside Down French Toast, a bowl full of fresh fruit, and I think Martinelli's – the apple one. He hadn't forgotten after all. And he told me how excited he was to be a father with me and how lucky our kids were going to be. It was the BEST BEST BEST gift ever!!! Even HE hasn't beaten it!

My best gift changes each year because my hubby is quite good at suprising me. So, I would have to say that the best gift for me is actually the gift of a suprise. It really brings out the magic of it all.
My most favorite gift…at least today's favorite…My 10-yr-old made a comic for me highlighting some of our more funny moments. He then ended it with a letter/poem. I'm gonna do something cool with it to show it off.
I guess the best gift for me would be the mixer I got one year.

The best gift I ever received was a new set of pans. My sister came to help me one day and had noticed my pans were shabby so she mentioned something to our mom. They ordered them online and had them sent to me but didn't tell me. I found a name on the shipping invoice.
I think the best gift I ever received on Christmas was right before I got married on the 27th. My two brothers had coordinated. One would give me an ice cream maker and the other a Ben and Jerry's recipe book. Well, the one with the ice cream maker completely forgot their deal and I was stuck with an ice cream recipe book and no maker for three years! Gotta love brothers…
What a great giveaway!!!

I love to give my mom gifts! Especially at Christmas because they tend to be from all of the 7 kids. She gets so overcome with emotion and it makes us all cry! The other day, I gave her a small poinsettia and she got all choked up. Love to surprise her! She deserves it!

The best gift I received was a pair of diamond earrings from my husband, when he got out of the military. He gave them to me as a "thank you" gift for staying strong during his deployment and for all the challenges that come along with being a military wife. He's amazing!

I love to give gifts to people especially homemade gifts. I think the best gift I received was a video of pictures of my family growing up. The year my father passed away, we had a homemade Christmas. Coming from a family of five girls, we had lots of good memories and just seeing them and remembering, made me realize how luck I was to come from a very close family.
The best gift I ever received was a baby grand piano. (I play just for myself.) All three of my children play piano and my daughter is very good. It's so much fun to listen/play Carols on the piano during the holidays.
It is hard to pick just one thing. I have been so blessed over the years to receive so many special things that I know were lovingly selected for me by my family. Any gift that my parents, husband, or son took the time to select for me, is so special!!
I think my husband asking me to be his wife – definitely the best list.
every year my sons school has a "santa's workshop" where the kids can go and buy little presents that cost no more than a few dollars for their family members. Last year my son brought me home an ornament that says I Love My Mom on it. It's a simple little thing, but he was able to spend his own money on it and pick it out all by himself. It's my most cherished Christmas ornament :)
It has always been great to give presents to my mom. She usually gets emotional. Just the other day, I brought her a poinsettia and she cried! Love it.

Best gift given:
When my cousin got married they could afford to pay a photographer but could only afford to purchase one of the pictures (her and him at the altar, of course). The photographer knew this going in and saved the other photos on file. Around five years after the wedding, my cousin still had never had enough extra money to buy the rest of the pictures for herself, so out family did. She unwrapped picture after picture from her wedding and couldn't believe they were finally hers.

A pair of GUESS overalls when I was in 8th grade that I NEVER thought I would get! Thanks mom!
My best gift was my Canon Rebel Xt – the best that I gave away was last year to my daughters teachers – we made an apron with a group picture and then all the children put their hand prints on it and we made a cookbook with all the recipes from the class – along with some other cooking goodies. The para got a travel bag with thumb prints on it and the same class picture. Then her bag was stuffed with travel items. They both retired last year and these things represented what they were looking forward to doing in retirement!
The absolute best gift I've ever received was a card that was handmade by my youngest son. It brought me to tears and I was so delighted that he was so creative!!

Yummy! Count me in.
I'd say one of the best gifts we've ever given was filled stockings for my in-laws. Dh's parents were having a particularly tough time two years ago and we decided to surprise them a bit for Christmas. They live about a mile away and we have keys to their home so, a few days before Christmas, dh snagged some stockings from their decorations. On Christmas Eve, dh and I filled stockings for them. Dh snuck them back over around midnight and placed them in their standard seats to find in the morning. They were filled with some of our frugal coupon finds – a new razor, toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving gel, deodorant, body wash – plus some of their favorite candies. Nothing overly expensive or extravagant, but they still loved to know someone was thinking about them. :) We did the same thing last year and will continue this year as well. Just a small way we can use part of our couponing 'stash' to bless our loved ones.
best gift ever was a couple years ago when my husband gave me a new camera, worth every penny!

The best gift I have ever received is my four children. Each was placed in my arms by their loving Birth Mother. There is no other gift I could receive or give to match these precious children.
The best gift I ever received was from my husband when we were dating. All it was was a stocking stuffed with different things but it was so cute the way he came up with it all.
My friend and I had a running joke for years that when she died I wanted a quilt that she had made. She gave me the quilt a month ago. I had to make sure she wasn't dying before I could enjoy it. :oD
For xmas/my wedding, my grandmother gave my husband & I a Kitchenaid stand mixer. I've made cookies & cakes and used the shredder attachment for carrots, cheese, cucumbers, potatos, onions, & probably much more (like zuchini for bread & cookies). We did exchange it for a different color, & found out she spent over $400 on it whil eshe still uses one many decades old. It's the fact that she knew we were just starting out that makes it the best.
WOW! That certainly looks yummy. I'm hoping to get an Imagine fr christmas. That sure would be awesome.

When I was about seven years old I saw the cutest stuffed animal, (a kitten)at the store that I just fell in love with. Our family did not have a lot of money for extra things like that. I was so surprised when I got it for Christmas. I was so delighted! I'm still to this day, so thankful for the thoughtfulness of my parents for doing something so Special.
The best gift I ever gave was a big glass bowl that I filled with cotton balls and at the very bottom were tucked in two tickets to the Cotton Bowl – My husband was thrilled – we went to see our Arkansas Razorbacks with some sweet friends, had a romantic weekend getaway and a little souvenir came 9 months later in the form of our little girl! :)
The best gift I got happened just yesterday. I arrived home yesterday to find my home teacher cleaning my yard. It was a wet cold day and he spent more than 4 hours cutting out blackberry bushes, getting rid of leaves ,etc. It was a total surprise.
My best present was yesterday when a friend spent hours in the cold and wet cleaning my yard. It WAS A TOTAL SURPRISE.
The best gift I ever received was last year when my daughter was born on Dec. 22nd. I really wanted to be home for christmas so I could be with my other 4 children christmas morning. The best gift I ever got was a digital camera from my parents last Christmas. We so needed it to capture our newborn's antics!
Best gift was actually last year when my Mom, who was terminally ill with cancer, took her 5 children, their spouses, and her 16grandchildren on a Disney cruise to the Bahamas. It was part of her "bucket list" to go on a cruise. A nice break from the Utah cold, and an awesome trip, but more importantly was the time we were able to spend as a family. She passed away in February, and I cannot begin to tell you how special those memories are for all of us! Priceless.
Yummy! Kettle corn! My engagement ring. My hubby to be was in the Air Force far away from home and sent it to me in the mail along with his proposal. We were married on Valentines Day.
The best gift I ever gave was as a Secret Santa – a VCR and food for a family who's father had left them and taken the children's prized VCR. I love to give much more than to receive. Thanks!
The best gift I ever got was a little space heater from my husband shortly after we were married. When I first opened it I was thinking what in the world, you bought me a space heater? Let's just say I was not a happy camper. However when my hubby explained to me that he bought it for me because he knows I am always cold when I get out of the shower and this way I could stay warm-well let's just say it is really the thought that counts because that was super sweet and meant more to me than anything else!
My husband surprised me w/ a ticket to see my grandma in Florida! That was THE best gift ever!
I was just thinking the most-used/appreciated gift I've gotten in my adult life was from my MIL last Christmas–a handmade flannel sleeve-like casing filled with rice that can be heated in the microwave! I use it every night in this chilly house! :- )
The best gift I received was a mother's ring from my four children with each of their birthstones in it. I've had two granddaughters since then, so it may be time to add to it!
Wow, I've had so many, it's hard to say. Maybe the time our church gave me a trip to Washington D.C. It was wonderful!
The best gift I ever gave…my siblings and I got together and sent my parent to Australia, where my Dad served his mission.
I have gotten many nice gifts. However this year my husband got me a Silhouette!
