Happy October! Heather here from FamilyVolley.com and today we are talking about how to be a Low Maintenance Mom! The idea of a low maintenance mom comes from a blog post by Mom Explores Michigan. After writing a post about being raised by a low maintenance mom, KSL Channel 5 asked if I would tackle a segment on HOW we can be a low maintenance mom.
Before you think that low maintenance means where we shop and what we wear, I want to offer you a different definition.
Being low maintenance means two things, first, that as women and mothers, we know who we are and we are happy with ourselves. And second, that we have our priorities in order.
When we know who we are and we are comfortable in our own skin, we don’t juggle or entertain what people around us are saying or what the media tells us we need to be doing or how we need to look. When we have our priorities in order we don’t fill our lives and our time with things that are unnecessary.
