CHERRY LIMEADE
Hi there! I’m Ashley from Simply Designing and I am really happy to be here guest posting today! I love creating for my home. Whether it is a DIY, a craft or yummy food, I am always making and creating and I love to share my ideas on my site! With cherries just in season (and oh-so-delicious, I might add) I decided to make a delicious batch of Homemade Cherry Limeade for my family to enjoy, and let me tell you, this is so much better then anything you can buy in the store!
HOW TO MAKE CHERRY LIMEADE
It is delicious, fresh, and you know exactly what goes into it! And the best part is, this really isn’t too hard to make either! So whip up a batch and then enjoy a beautiful summer day while sipping a glass of your homemade cherry limeade!
INGREDIENTS:
- Cherries, pitted
- Limes, washed
- Sugar (more or less to taste)
- Water + 1/4 cups Water
DIRECTIONS:
- Begin by placing your pitted cherries and 1/4 cup water in a blender. Blend these until they are completely pureed and smooth. Strain these and then set the cherry juice aside. This will equal about 1 cup of cherry juice. (I love this cherry pitter. (affiliate link for your convenience))
- Mix 8 cups of water and about 2 cups of sugar together and set aside.
- Wash your limes, cut the ends off and then cut them in half. Place the lime slices about half of the limes and half of the sugar water in a blender and blend until smooth. Strain that into a pitcher and then repeat with the rest of your water and limes.
- Pour the cherry juice into the lime / water mixture and stir together well! You can add more water or more sugar at this point if it isn’t quite as sweet as you like it or if it is too strong.
- Chill in the fridge then serve!

This sounds so refreshing! Cherry & lime are a delicious combination of flavors!
Natalie- It really is!
This will definitely hit the spot, here in AZ. It’s already so hot & this is one of our favorite drinks to get at Sonic, so I am glad we can make it at home!
Kristyn- I bet it is so hot there. This will help cool you off!
Thanks for the recipe, sounds so refreshing! Can I use Tart Cherry 100% Juice instead of pureeing fresh cherries?
Becky- I think that would work well too!
I’ve only ordered this from a restaurant before – It was so easy to make at home. The EPITOME of a refreshing summer drink! Thanks.
Lisalia- So happy you enjoyed it!
Cherry drinks are the best! It’s always been my favorite flavor to add! SO good!
Natalie- I do too!
I seem to prefer limeade over lemonade & of course, cherry is the perfect choice to go with lime!! They compliment each other so well!
Kristyn- Me too!
