First, BALLOON BLASTERS!
For this game you will want your hose, a long rope or string and bunch of balls, all different sizes (if you can).
Take the rope or string and make a circle on the lawn, back porch, anywhere. This will be your boundary. Make the circle bigger for older kids and smaller for younger kids. Then, put all the balls in the circle.
Now, have kids take turns trying to BLAST the balls out of the circle with the hose. The chid who can blast them all out of the circle the fastest, WINS!
You can also give each child 1 minute and whoever gets the most out in one minute is the winner.
Second, BATH TIME POOL PARTY!
Who says that you have to take baths in a tub? Have a ton of fun and change up the routine by letting your kids take their bath outside in a little kiddie pool. They will be so excited and won’t complain a bit about the soap and shampoo. All you need is one of those little blow-up pools. Fill it up, swimsuits on, and everyone in the water. A little shampoo and soap and you are good to go. Plus, the swimsuits get washed too! What a great way to make bath time fun. Especially for those kids who don’t like baths.
Third, WATER BALLOON BASEBALL!
Baseball and summer go hand in hand at our house. There is nothing better than a wiffle ball game after a family picnic, just as the night starts to cool off. Want to make your game a little more exciting? Trade out that ball for a water balloon and you have a great summer activity for family and friends. Consider it batting practice! Fill up a bunch of balloons, take turns pitching, and start hitting.
What are your favorite water games to play? Summer can seem long :) Let’s share our ideas!
