Goodness this looks and sounds amazingly delicious!!
Thanks Jen! You are always so sweet. Heading over to your site now to catch up with what you have been up to!
About to give it a try..looks delish! One question-recipe states 1/2 cup extra flour. Is only 1/2 needed for this recipe or am I missing something?

Nevermind. I need to schedule an appointment with the optician!!
Hey Marybeth. The recipe calls for 3 cups of flour. The extra 1/2 cup is needed if you substitute the applesauce for the oil. Sorry for the confusion.
I doubled the recipe added walnuts and dried cranberries. 1/2 brown sugar, 1/2 white sugar ..it’s fantastic!
Thanks!
That sounds like some great additions! Yum!
Just made this. I love the exchange of applesauce. I actually halfed the amount of flour and substituted it with oatmeal and halfed the sugar amount and substituted it with honey. Hopefully it’ll work out great!
It sounds good! You will have to let me know! Oatmeal in it sounds delicious!
Can’t wait for my zucchini to be ready! This recipe looks great!
Thanks Leigh Anne! We already have zucchini! It is going crazy this year!
I have a question, if I am going to add chocolate chips in with the zucchini recipe, do I change the recipe at all? I’m a newbie at making bread. Thanks!
Leanna- Nope, just add the chocolate chips. I love mine with chocolate chips too!
This bread looks amazing! Can’t wait to try it! Pinning! xo
Thank you so much Jamielyn! xo
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Zucchini Bread! Can’t wait to try this recipe. Pinned. :)
Made this recipe today, used oil instead of applesauce. Made one batch which yields 2 regular pans of zuchinni bread, and when my family gave it the thumbs up I made another double batch. Thanks for a great, and easy recipe, everyone loves it!!
So glad to hear that!! It really is one of our family favorites too!
Not sure what a regular size pan is 8×4..9×5? Grease and flour ? Thank You
I have an interesting question. Can the zucchini bread be made into muffins?? I am looking for a really yummy idea for St. Patrick’s Day and this just might do it. Thank you so much for your help
Yes, you should be able to put them into muffin cups and they should bake the same. That sound yummy! I will have to try it out myself.
Do I need to take some water out of the zucchini? Thanks!
You can but it is not necessary. Enjoy!
I substituted 1 cup of sugar for brown, and still used 1 C white sugar. I used the applesauce. I did 2 C flour, 1 C oats. One loaf i added Blueberries and the other I left plain. The plain loaf didn’t rise. But the flavor was good!
I feel like this is such a stupid question, but when you say “soda,” do you mean baking soda?
Sarah- Not a stupid question at all! Yes, baking soda. Hope you enjoy the recipe!
Yum!! This looks moist and delish!
Heather- It really is! We love this recipe!
Zucchini bread is the best!! It’s so soft & a great way to use up any zucchini I have. It doesn’t last long around my house!
Kristyn-It doesn’t last long at our house either!
Yum!! I seem to rotate between this & banana bread, weekly!! My kids love it, so it’s a great way to sneak in zucchini!
Natalie- So happy your kids will eat it. Most of mine will. It’s really is addicting!
Bread has been my go-to since Covid started & we are home more! It brings all the comfort & is so moist! I love taking this to friends, because everyone loves it!
Kristyn- We have been baking more since Covid too. This recipe is a favorite and so quick to make.
This zucchini bread was so good. So moist from the applesauce. What an easy and delicious recipe! Thanks!
