I took a break over the weekend from my blog and the internet the past few days and when I checked back in last night was stunned at your response. I read back through what I had written and realized I did sound a bit desperate. I should have waited to write that post so I was a bit more detached from my immediate reaction. I apologize about the drama as I am normally one who shys away from it.
Some of you wondered if the anonymous comment on the Apothecary Halloween Jars had something to do with this. It did not. I did not delete the comment because I didn’t give it much credence, especially since they were hiding behind their “anonymous” status.
I have had negative emails and comments in the past that I normally ignore. I realize now I was totally unprepared for such a personal attack. The two emails were sent within a couple hours of one another and not only attacked my religion as mentioned, but one specifically attacked my children, which freaked me out. That had me questioning my motivation for my blog and whether it was worth putting my family at risk, for this person was clearly a creep. I do still worry about being vulnerable, and have decided that I am going to have to get creative about how much exposure I give my kids. Which could actually be a good thing right?
I admit, I did think about quitting…but not for long. I spent a couple hours last night reading through all of your sweet comments and KIND emails. I was overwhelmed by your response and realized all over again why I really do enjoy this blog. I am admittedly still surprised, but grateful, for all of you good people who ARE out there supporting me. So THANK YOU!!
A couple of you reminded me that there IS opposition in all things and that the good things of the world will always have those who will try and tear it down. That really struck a chord with me and I absolutely believe that!
So, just so you know, (and so commentor #249, JoAnn can finally get off her chair where she has committed to sit until I post again) I plan on continuing on. I continue to hope that this will be a place where women and families of all religions, ethnic backgrounds and beliefs can come together and share ways to enjoy one another and become more sucessful as families.

glad you're back and that you decided to continue…now lets see the great ideas!
I love your blog and am so excited to hear that a few negative, mean people didn't ruin it for the hundreds of others like myself who enjoy it! I will continue to follow your blog and will continue to reccommend it to my friends and family!
Heather
I recently found your site and love it as well. I'm glad you are continuing; thanks for all the great ideas!
whew!!
I am so sorry that you even had to deal with being attacked for your religion, and even worse your children. It takes a strong woman to defend their faith, and family, so I am glad that you have decided to press on. Good for you. You are awesome!
I'm glad that you decided to give blogging another chance. Unfortunately there are many people whose only joy in life is to attack others. Hopefully it won't happen again. If it does though, I hope you will be able to look back on the responses from this week's posts and remind yourself that it has nothing to do with YOU. :)
I wanted to say something on your other post and never got around to it, but I am so glad that you are going to carry on. I absolutely love your blog and it gives me so many ideas. Anyone that knows you, loves you…as well as many new people you've only met via blogging. Keep the projects coming- you are amazing!
Whew is right! So good to know you will continue. With all the thousands of blogs out there, yours has risen to the top and you should know you have something wonderful here! It never hurts to be cautious when it comes to your family, but obviously you have hundreds of us that love you and are backing you 100%.
I am also glad you are sticking with this blog! I just found it a few weeks ago and LOVE it! I have referred so many of my friends here! You are very talented and amazing! Thanks for your great ideas and inspiration!
I am so happy you havent given up. I am a grandmother who has not much to do but surf the blogs. When I find a worth while one I put it in my favorites. You are there. I check more times in a day than needs to be known. I have so enjoyed your blog and even tried some of your ideas that are wonderful. Know I have prayed for you and will continue to so know I love all your hard work.
Just found your site recently, then was saddened to hear about the mean spirited comments. Hang in there. There are lots of people who enjoy your talents and what you share so freely.
I just stumbled across your blog and I love it. I read that comment the other day and I had to read it a couple of times for it to sink in. Some people feel they need to be on their high horse sometimes and spoil everyone's fun, we call them "party poopers." Don't take it personal. You seem like a lovely individual and have great ideas! I think I have about 15 of your things bookmarked in my "to do" file. Thank you for staying, you can't quit now, I just found you!!!! -Kelsee
Rock on! Your site is great! Don't let the haters get you down!
woohoo! glad you decided to keep going.
Hooray!!
You So Totally Rock, Dudette!
Good for you, just letting it roll on by and not giving in!
Glad to have you back! Really love the family three! Can't wait to see what you come up with next!
Hooray! I'm soo glad that you are posting again. I have loved your blog and your cute ideas. Thank you for continuing and inspiring me!

"Satan isn't present where candles aren't lit" — remember that! Glad you're back… We love your blog! :D
Glad you are back!!!!!!!!!!!
welcome back. :)
Glad you're back!
I totally understand and agree about limiting how much you include your kids on a public blog. There are just too many pedophiles out there. I know some of my friends think I'm a bit over the top, but I figure that with my kids, there's no such thing as being too careful.
I just recently found your blog, maybe within the past month, and I look forward to it everyday. I have already made several of the thngs that you have shared with us. I am so glad that you did not stay away too long. Your blog is "good stuff" as my daughter Emily says!
So glad you are back!! You are great and I love all that you share on your blog. I found it just last week and was thrilled to find such great ideas. That is what sisterhood is all about, sharing!! To find another with 5 kids was a relief as many ideas pertained to my family too(I am trying your laundry help ideas, I even got everyone bigger laundry baskets and am on a great start this morning!!) Anyway thanks for sharing and continuing on your great blog!!
YEA for you and your fun blog! I love it and am so glad you're not going to let some crazies spoil the fun for the rest of us! : )
Glad your back. You are very inspiring. I love all your ideas and beautiful photos.
SO GLAD your back…we missed you.
I do love your stuff so I am so glad that you are going to keep posting. You do have to be super careful about how much personal stuff you blog about. Say in one blog you admit what city you live in then you mention your kids' name in another one, then your last name gets brought up somehow. There are some CREEPY people out there. I use surname's for my kids & re-read my post AT LEAST 3-4 times before I post so that I don't slip up. You just never know who can find you by googling.
Keep the idea's coming-esecially fun stuff to do at a Halloween party!!! I have the edible eyeballs, & the glow in the dark slime bookmarked. :) Thank you!!!

Oh, Whew! I was beginning to feel like a stalker… I was checking in a few times a day to see if you were back :P
Glad you are back!
amy
I'M SO GLAD!!! THANK YOU!
Yay! Welcome back!
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad you are back! More importantly, I am so glad that your heart has healed a bit, and that you realise that there is more love out there than hate… I really like what you said in your last paragraph:"…a place where women and families of all religions, ethnic backgrounds and beliefs can come together and share ways to enjoy one another and become more sucessful as families…" Isn't that world peace is (or should be) all about!
Hooray! Glad to see that you're posting again! Ignore the haters and bring on the fun stuff!
glad you're back!! Some people feel like they have to be mean to people they admire… don't know why they do that. But you are great, and it's great to know that so many people told you that! :)
Welcome back! God's blessings and XOXOXO to the kiddos, Sarah :D
Glad you're back! Would have *totally* missed you!
The blog world can be a scary one in terms of intrusion into your private life but it also can be a blessing by meeting many new awesome people!
Keep the faith as we do in you!
Welcome back!! We missed you!!!
Wow…I am so sorry you were treated in such a manner. I am really happy you have decided to stay on, I love reading your blog and all the wonderful things you share. Glad you are taking this experience with a grain of salt. Lots of love from your faithful reader!!! =) Sara
I am so glad you are back. I never comment, but I do love your ideas and I'm glad you won't let some loser with too much time on their hands and too much anger get you down.
Good for you! Don't let some ignorant person keep you from doing something you enjoy! Keep up the great work and I look forward to your next beautiful creation! :)
YAY! Keep it up! I think your blog is really something special.
I am from Argentina (living in USA for 12 years now) and I'm LDS too. As a mom of 3 kids I enjoyed blogs like yours because we can share ideas and talents.
I love to decorate cakes for my kiddos and that's my thing! :) also I 'm into sewing right now.
