PLAYDOUGH
Today I am sharing a fun DIY Kids Craft that you can make right at home. Have you ever seen Lush’s Bubble Bath Playdough? It’s a fun moldable “soap” that kids can play with in our out of the bath tub. But when it is played with in the bath tub, it is sudsy and becomes a fun way to get clean!

- Food Coloring
DIRECTIONS:
- In a bowl mix together the bubble bath, essential oil and coloring.

- Add half of the cornstarch.
- Add more cornstarch as needed.
- As you mix it, it will become a nice soft ball that is no longer sticky.
- Knead the play dough with your hands.
HOW TO MAKE BUBBLE BATH
It is simple enough that the kids can make it without any adult help! A great way to get the kids in the kitchen…and in the bath!
This playdough can be used multiple times as long as it doesn’t get wet. If you plan on using it in the bath, that will be the last time you can use it. It will slowly dissolve in the bath water with play. If using to play outside of the bath, it can be stored for a few weeks in an airtight container.

Hi Amy! Have you ever tried adding baking soda and citric acid powder? I wonder if adding some of that would make it fizzy and bubbly at the same time. I’ll let you know if I give that a go. Thanks!!
You will have to let me know how it works out. Sounds like it could be fun!
Do you have to use a special soap?
Maggie- No, any kind of bubble bath soap will work. Enjoy!
Hi Amy- I tried this today and the dough isn’t very bubbly when I ran it under water. Wonder if you would know if that is because I used Castile soap? I also has to add more cornstarch than the recipe called for?
Char- It may be the castile soap that you used. Try using Johnsons Bubble Bath. It works great. Thanks for following along.
Bubble Bath Play Dough?! My kids are going to be all over this!
Becca- Hours of fun in the bathtub!
Oh, my..I bet this smells so nice!! My kids can play with this stuff all day! We will have to make it this week!
Kristyn- My kids still love it too!
Does the food coloring need to be a special kind or food grade?
Glyniece- No not necessarily
My kids think this is the best stuff ever!! They could play with it all day, which is fine with me! It smells so good!
Natalie- It is so fun to make and play with!
Great recipe. My only issue is that it seems a bit dry and crumbly. I added a bit more bubble bath and it seems to have fixed it, but have you ever run into this?
Not sure why. I have not had this happen before.
