OFFICE REFRESH
I recently shared with you on my Instagram Stories how I made a quick update and refreshed my office space in my home with some new paint on the walls and on a small apothecary cabinet we built a few years ago. You can find that old tutorial for the cabinet here. To take a look at the office before I repainted it, you can check that out here.

I feel like I am happy keeping things the same without change for about 7 years…and then I get ready to have a little bit of a change and a refresh so things feel new and fresh again. That seems to have been my average for when I start feeling ready to make some changes. Does that ever happen to you? Although I am always making little changes here and there.

LIBRAY CARD CABINET
This time, I got antsy to change out the hardware on the apothecary cabinet. When we built it about 8 years ago, the library card catalog hardware was absolutely too pricey for our budget. So I settled for some simple knobs. After searching, I found some hardware at WalMart that was too good to be true. It isn’t the highest quality, but the price was too good to pass up. I am really happy with them overall and the overall effect they have had on the cabinet. To get them the gold color I wanted I simply sprayed them gold with some spray paint.

And I have been crushing on this green paint color (Secret Garden by Sherwin Williams) and wanted to paint some items in my home with it. Isn’t it so deep and pretty? It changed the whole look of the room! And because at my house, when you give me a paint brush, it usually leads to having to paint something else… It is a problem. I just had to repaint the entire office to match the fresh, bright, and crisp feeling the new green cabinet. So I painted the walls in Oyster White by Sherwin Williams. Then of course I had to repaint the bottom of the walls and my picture frame board and batten with a fresh new coat of ultra white paint.
So with all those changes, I rearranged some decor from other areas of the home and brought them into the office to freshen everything up. I purchased this lovely clock from Target here. I just love it above the green cabinet.

OFFICE QUOTE
I wanted to put a quote that I have loved for a long time up to display on the top of my cabinet. So I created a really simple typography design and printed it on white card stock paper. I added a little gold foil lettering to the two lines that are in cursive but you can leave that black if you want. I used the Minc machine by Heidi Swapp. Then I placed the quote in this lovely wood frame.

I love how simple and easy it was to create. Want to download the print for your own space? Simply click on the link here and print it.

I just love this quote by Morgan Harper Nichols! The first time I saw it I felt it so deeply and knew I wanted to have it on display to see and feel often. Isn’t that something we all need a little bit more in our lives…especially right now? To be filled with light from within? So good! A great reminder for us all!

Thanks for checking in! xoxo
